i'm a little bit scared cuz it's my only phone haha.. but it works.. i just flashed my phone with odin approx 10 times this day.. cuz i thought it's mandatory to have a JB ROM when you flash with this ROM cuz in the req. it says JB stock rom

The meaning is, don't install this ROM with GB because you'll have a brick, or in the best case the ROM won't be installed.
Well, once you install JB stock, you have partitions, base band and a few other things needed for KitKat, Lollipop, Marshmallow and Nougat. With that base of JB, every custom ROM is gonna work.

i was able to flash with Jellybean via odin replace the PDA file to have a custom recovery (CWM) and Flash the partition zip thingy..though the instruction of ace2nutzer's was not that clear maybe that was for people who already understand the procedure i find my self out by tinkering the options and looking for similar and closest meaning of the words that in there.

i tried it with TWRP it give me a short description don't know what that is.. didn't work i think it only works with CWM
it took me two times to flash again with odin cuz i thought that the options given in the instruction was in CWM with Philz touch (when you flash chrono kernel R2.24.5) or maybe you need to flash chrono kernel before proceeding instruction in partitioning not for newbie like me trial and error i say and much understanding is needed.. i just google it when i dunno the words..

one question.. can i Flash my Phone with this?.. and what are the drawbacks do i have to flash ROM again?

or i just stick with chrono_kernel_r2.24.7 thanks i'm curious..

I've made some complete and very explanatory tutorials of everything you're asking, but they're in Spanish.

Haha... Well, the Philippines were a Spanish colony for 3 centuries and a half and its name actually comes from Spanish king Felipe II.
But it's normal English is really much more spoken than Spanish because they stayed there for a long period after that.

Cpu freq changes doesnt save and i have 2 work with stock cpu freq . Its a bit slow . How 2 fix this ??

Do you selected Set on boot option? And you must have root and grant it to ChronoKernel Settings app.

I only use this ROM with gapps and no installing any more kernel outside.

GT-18160 upgrade failed and phone no longer works

I have just installed the sergeyL UT-ROM6...20170428 rom with the two modifications re opitimisation and SD card rotation set on. I also installed the OTF-8gapps-....6.0-pico.

Previous to this upgrade I had installed ROM6 etc without the modifications enabled and was delighted with 6.01 but I could not download anything from Googleplay and so I thought I better do all again although this time do using Sergyl's mods.

After the reinstall I started the phone. The Sam logo showed so I left it for 30mins. It did not load beyond that logo. It keeps blanking the logo only to start again.
I am unable to turn the phone off properly because it restarts without my pushing the power button again. I therefore remove the battery after pressing the power button and when the screen is blank.
I have put the external card into a card reader but my operating system is not recognising the card because it does not show an extra drive has been put into the usb slot. I will buy a replacement card reader in case it is faulty.
I am unable to boot into either recovery mode or safe mode, previously I had been able to do both. Is there anything I can do?

I replaced the card reader. With this reader the micro sd card can be read by my computer as it shows as a drive. The contents of the SD card does not look as if it has changed from prior to the reinstall. All the existing files seem present including the ROM 6.01 and the Gapps file. Is there a way to get the phone to reboot into android? I have tried removing the SD card and rebooting but that makes no difference as the boot does not proceed beyond the Logo.
