I'm trying to disable the boot animation as well as change the camera quality settings, but I keep getting errors (you are not using an insecure boot image). I used the tool kit to root and I'm on CM9. Help?

Hi, Great Toolkit!!! Thanks

I have one small issue... I used to the toolkit to install CW recovery, then flashed a new ROM.
All went well... though when I go into CW ROM Manager app I cant use (to check for ROM updates etc.) it as it says CW recovery is not installed! (although it is).

It wont let me flash CW recovery over my CW recovery either?
Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks

I'm sorry if somebody asked this before. I'm tried to search for SIM lock with no obvious answer.

Does this toolkit help to unlock the SIM lock? or it just unlock the bootloader?
If it does unlock the SIM lock, is it a permanent one and does it change the IMEI?

Thanks in advance.

You can only unlock the bootloader. The only way to sim unlock the phone is to purchase an unlock code from your carrier or from a website or shop which specialises in sim unlocking phones.

Can you still get into CWM Recovery via the Power Button Menu or by booting into fastboot and selecting recovery from the menu screen?

Yep (both ways), I can still get to CWM Recovery.... but when in the actual App itself, it says CWM Recovery has not been flashed!

In that case its more likely some bug with the app and since I have never used Rom Manager (dont find the need for it) I cant comment on what might be wrong with it.

You could try clearing the apps cache in the settings or clear the dalvik cache in cwm or uninstall and reinstall the app it might help.

When I installed the drivers using #1, it worked and under ADB Mode it showed my serial number. But when I booted into fastboot and plugged my phone in my computer said the drivers weren't able to install. Should I uninstall the drivers I used from #1 and try the PdaNet method?

Edit: How do I get out of fastboot? Clicking the volume and power buttons aren't doing anything.
