Looks good, I liked your SGS2 rom, I look forward to seeing what makes this rom unique.

Just a quick tip based on an error I just ran in to: Before you make too many framework changes take a look at this. The stock framework in JB is close to the limit mentioned in this post so you may want to look to splitting it up like the CM folks are doing otherwise there is very little room for decent customization or added features :(

Oh and are you compiling from source?

Thanks for the heads-up. Yes. I will be building from source in the upcoming releases (may be from next release itself :)). This ROM is my daily driver which I made for myself. Thought let me release this one (since I find it myself very stable, smooth and fast) first and then I can release the rom built from source with added features.

Dev-host server is up and running. Now you can download SuperROM :)
Anyway after going home, I will make a mirror for the same. :)

Can anyone compare this to Stock JB or AndroidME Rom? Which I am using ATM with Franco Kernel.

Thanks in advance

So I finally flashed this and although I have some issues at the beginning, after a couple reboots everything is running fine. This is the first ROM that feel noticeable faster and more responsive than stock. Really like it, All I need is Toggles :). I am using Franco Kernel BTW.

Keep up the good work

Verified on Galaxy Nexus GSM maguro

I am very happy , verified:

Samsung Galaxy Nexus GT-i9250M, unlocked Google (maguro)
Jellybean 4.1.1 JRO03C (SuperRom v1.0)
Prepaid SIM service (not Verizon or Sprint)

Note: Before flashing this Rom, I had done these to my brand new phone:
  1. Upgraded to 4.1.1 OTA (Over the Air)
  2. Rooted the phone using Nexus Root Toolkit v1.5.2
  3. Performed a system wipe (and cleared cache?? I followed instructions for AOKP Milestone6)
  4. Flashed Ice Cream Sandwich (aokp_maguro_milestone-6.zip) and gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip
  5. Cleared the cache and davlik cache
  6. Flashed SuperRom v1.0

I am "advanced" but I still don't know all that much about ROMs or what is involved with building them, how to "properly" flash them.
I can confirm that Wifi Hotspot now works (didn't work in my stock rom), which was one of the main reasons for buying this phone. :good:

    Hi all,

This is my first ROM after I got my GSM Galaxy Nexus. :) Hope you all like it. Its basically stock ROM with minimal and very useful features. Will add more features and tweaks as I update the ROM.

    WHY SuperROM and for WHOM:
The uniqueness of SuperROM is to stay as close to stock as possible with many useful features which are not found in stock ROM. Speed, Smoothness and Stability is the motto of SuperROM.

This ROM is for those who are looking for the above mentioned. Nothing more. Nothing less. :)

    Features:

    • Based on the latest Android OS, 4.1.1 Jellybean build JRO03C
    • Close to stock
    • Fully Deodexed
    • All Google apps included (in future releases, I might remove these and put as a separate flashable zip)
    • Optimized
    • Lean Kernel
    • Proper extended power menu
    • Battery 1% circle mod
    • T9 Dialer
    • Volume rocker to skip tracks
    • init.d script support
    • Ad block(updated hosts file.. no more annoying ads in apps)
    • Static MENU button in the NAV BAR (BACK-HOME-RECENT-MENU)

    • build.prop tweaks for better power management(battery saving) and speed
    • Rooted (su + SuperSU)

Not to flame or be rude but this is basically bigxies ROM with power button and percentage addons?

Unless there's something else I'm missing?

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app

You cant really call that rom bigxies rom (no misunderstanding cause bigxie is doing a fabulous work). The rom is just rooted stock with no tweaks. In fact it is rooted and deodexed google rom if you should give it a name.
Basically anybody taking the stock google rom and rooting it will end up with something identical to "bigxies rom". If you get my point...

What are the plans for the future? What will make this a unique rom ?

Verstuurd van mijn Galaxy Nexus met Tapatalk

Hopefully my professional android experience (2+ years) and especially you guys should make this rom unique. Device being a nexus is a great advantage. I can try to make lot of changes in the framework source and try to bring in few useful features.

Lets hope it all goes well. And obviously need all you guys' support.:)
