OK, this is really weird, but it looks to me like there's no longer any way in Android 4.2 to tell if the camera has gotten a GPS lock. In previous versions of Android, the GPS icon would start blinking when the camera app opened (if you had "store location" selected) and then turn solid once GPS had locked on. But this doesn't happen anymore. Is there _any_ way now to tell if you've got a GPS lock when snapping a photo?

This has been really bugging me that there's no way to tell if there's a GPS lock (and so whether geo-tagging will work) since the 4.2 update. Has anyone found a way to tell with the 4.2 (or 4.2.1) camera app yet?

But nothing really conclusive about them.

Has anyone got some kind of help on this please?
My Locations settings are always on and not having GPS lock on a picture taken, doesn't help me out with Portal submissions in Ingress.
Been searching for answers/workarounds, but not found anything viable yet.

Thanks
