Feeling like a TWRP. Need recover help!

I successfully upgraded from kit kat 4.4.2 Hyperdrive ROM using the information and file links on page 1 of this thread. If did a clean flash with ODIN, then followed up with a factory reset. All went well. I then flashed TWRP 3.0.2 using ODIN. I was not able to boot into TWRP recovery. I tried various button combinations but none worked. It keeps bringing me to the standard Samsung recovery. I then flashed an earlier version of TWRP 3.0 with the same result. My goals are basically to boot into TWRP and create a backup, then root the tablet and restore apps from my SD card with titanium. From there I will either stick with the stock ROM and debloat, or try out other ROM's.

Right now, I'm lost. Root is important to me for several reasons including more multi-window functionality and backups. If the answer is already within this thread, I apologize. I could not find it. Thanks to all on this forum for your time and patience with rookies.

So, as it is "modem free", I mean: no modem, it won't matter that I bought in Mexico? My comp. number is: KOT49H.P600UBUCNH2. Thanks a lot for this great work!

zeconha, look at http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-P600/ for Galaxy Note 10.1 SM-P600 tablet stock ROMS. They don't list a stock ROM specific to Portugal, but you should have not problems with P600XXUDOJ3 (contém a lingua Portuguesa). You'll need Odin (v3.09 recommended - http://odindownload.com/Samsung-Odin/#.Vm3AglE1I-Q) and latest Samsung Mobile USB drivers (http://developer.samsung.com/technical-doc/view.do?v=T000000117).

1. Ensure that in Settings, Developer Options the USB Debugging option is turned on.
2. Install the USB drivers and test connection by connection tablet to computer using USB cable. Then disconnect tablet and turn it off.
3. Go to Download Mode - Hold POWER plus VOL- simultaneously and then VOL +
4. Unzip Odin to a folder, then copy the extracted stock ROM file to this folder (P600XXUDOJ3_P600OXADOJ3_HOME.tar.md5)
5. Open Odin and load the stock ROM referenced in step 4 to the AP section. Ensure default Auto-Reboot and F. Reset Time are checked.
6. Connect the tablet to computer using USB cable. The ID:COM should highlight the auto-assigned COM port. This is your confirmation of proper tablet connection to computer.
7. Click Start. It will take several minutes. Once done the tablet will reboot into Lollipop OS.

Loading the Stock ROM according to these instructions, should not delete data. As a precaution, in step 2 you could back all your data from the internal storage to your computer or to an external SD card.

Boa sorte,

I have resolved the boot loop problem by loading the stock ROM using Odin. Once flashed, TWRP recovery/root are lost.
Many are having the same problem. Using TWRP to recover from a saved image, flashing the patched boot img and SuperSu does not solve the problem (read my other recent post). It seems this is related to the patched boot img file. Hopefully some developer will figure out what is wrong and provide some information on how to resolve this root problem.

:(

The UBUCNH2 code is not for a P600, it is for the P601 (3G version). The Sammobile stock ROM for Panama (P601UBUDPA1) should work fine.

As you can see in the image, the UBUCNH2 corresponds to "Unknown" and Mexico-Telcel carriers (as to others)

It's not rooted and is untoched. It's completely stock!!!
I know others have made posts but they all use ****ty servers. I have uploaded this to Mega and Android File Host as they are both faster and more stable then pony Samsung's crappy servers.

When you flash rom with the setup as in picture it will flash over your previous rom and keep all data and apps and settings.
For maximum stability i recommend after first boot you do factory reset.

    Easy Guide to Root :
    1. Go to Rooting Guide - http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?p=63637426
Download only the P600 modded boot IMG and then come back here. Move the tar to tablet. "In my opinion that guide is very confusing" This is much more simple...

    2. Go to TWRP - https://dl.twrp.me/lt03wifiue/
Download the img.tar This file you keep on pc to flash via Odin.

    3. Go to SuperSU v2.52 Beta - https://download.chainfire.eu/743/Su...erSU-v2.52.zip
Download the zip. Move the zip to tablet.

    4. Reboot the tablet into download mode and open Odin on the PC then connect the tablet to PC. In Odin click AP tab and locate the TWRP and uncheck Auto-Reboot then hit start. When done hold the power button + vol up button "the vol button furthest from power button" + home button til you see red writing on top right hand corner. This can take a while so don't panic just wait.

    5. When finished booting into TWRP pull Spen and click Install then find modded boot img "remember to switch between IMG & ZIP mode in the lower left hand corner" Now flash the boot img. Do not reboot just go back and switch back to ZIP mode and flash SuperSU when done reboot.

    6. Wait for the boot to finish. You are now rooted.

I hope this makes it easy for you!!!

It really should be possible to make an ODIN flashable file for the boot img. I'll mess around with it. You'd still need to flash supersu in TWRP, though.

---------- Post added at 02:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:19 PM ----------

You still need to flash TWRP and flash supersu zip to get this to work, but, here's an ODIN flashable patched boot img for OK1. Enjoy.
