Lineage 14.1 No Sim Card

Hello Everyone.

I am currently running the Lineage 14.1 hlte nightly from 20th June.

When I try to install the latest nightly 4th /12 / 18th July, I get no sim card detected each time.

Is this a baseband issue and if so, how do I fix it ?

I am using TWRP if that makes any difference

Thanks,

Simon

Well it has been stated a few times in this thread... You can go to sammobile and find your device model's baseband, download that, then use Odin to flash it. Search this thread, then procedure is explained multiple times.

My SIM wasn't working on my 900W8 Note 3 even with the most recent baseband installed, but I found that by toggling the preferred type of connection to Global in settings then back to the default it became activated. Not sure why, but it worked.

Read the thread. Doesn't work.

For me, "just" flashing the new N9005 firmware (sammobile) didn't do the trick, even after flashing it twice.
But flashing haggertk's package solved the prob like a charm - THANK YOU so much!

Best,

Steffen

I strongly support this suggestion - would have saved me lots of time... ;)

Please do me a favour and read the thread

Ok. I read the thread. followed the instructions for installing the new baseband using ODIN.

ODIN reports successful installation. However, the baseband on my phone has not changed.
I have flashed it twice.

I have installed the latest nightly. Under mobile network settings, everything is greyed out.

Any suggestions ?

Does Magisk and SafetyNet work without changing the kernel?

Use the most recent odin. Take out the battery for several seconds. Put the battery back and go to download mode using 3 buttons method. Untick auto reboot then flash your latest baseband. Works every time here..

After flashing the updated baseband, make sure you power off your phone(let it really power off), and then pull out the battery from the phone. Leave it like that for a few minutes, then place back the battery and reboot. Your baseband should be updated.

Thank you. I removed the battery after flashing and baseband has updated.

Latest Lineage now running.

Yeah you don't actually have to power off first - You can just pull the battery - leave it out for a few seconds and then put it back in - Then boot straight into Download Mode ?

with 7/19 it's the first time for me being on the official builds that I have an rotation issue - and it still persists

And btw2: may it be that the Adaptive Brightness adjustment doesn't work in 7/19? Though the option is enabled in the Display setting section, the back-light stays low / the same, even getting into a lighter area.

    V0.3 - Major Update!

    A lot more things working
    Including but not limited to:
Flashlight, camera, Calling (NEEDS TESTING - I do not have a sim card that works in this device right now, can people please report back), autorotate

I am not responsible for any damage to your device etc, you are choosing to flash this file!

Grab the V0.3 update here! (only on android file host right now, too late to upload everywhere right now)

I am still not saying this is a daily driver though. I still have very little time and if i get flooded with eta requests and bug reports right now it really does hurt motivation. If you find a bug you think i wont know about (it isnt obvious or it doesnt exist in previous cm13 roms) you are welcome to report however that doesn't mean i will fix it/give a timescale on a fix.

I have not updated the OP as it is 3:30 AM here and i have uni today. Whenever I get chance I will update it.

PS not sure if mobile data / cell data is working, can people please report back :)

    Have a good day!

Also make sure you do a clean flash!

Well i know that asking for eta is just rude and unrespectfull for the developer but now it has been like 1 month or less since the last alpha build maybe you should rename the the thread to [onhold] or maybe [paused]
Am not trying to be disrespectful for the dev in fact i apreaciate his time but 1 month without any updates need to be called onhold or somth because alot of people will come and ask for etaS

Its been 2 weeks, not a month. I said on twitter I'm taking 2 weeks off and I have.

I am a university student, I do this for free. I do not have much time. The university year just started, and as you can imagine I am focusing on that rather than this.

My education will always come first.

Friendly reminder: I do not work for you.
