i didn't really notice the browser differences....but as of now, ICS is broken for the SGSII....until a stable final release is pushed (or at least one you think is worth us flashing) i don't plan on going back....

although, i must say i'm a little curious what a "2.5 Personal Ver" really means....lol

Oh its a mix thats best for me, the ROM is around 110mb (no samsung stuff, twlauncher etc), some extra customise init.d scripts for like CPU control, GPU control etc. Some more other init.d scripts (tweaks for governor). Mixed KK2 & KJ1. A modified build.prop, KP1 modem and Siyahkernel v2.6 battery :)

Hi guys, been away from the mod scene for ages now, since WM 6.5!

First time doing android.

The only reason im installing custom roms really is to fix the low volume issues on SGSII.

Can anyone advise if this rom fixes the headset volume issues or if there is a way around it.

I have tried every app known to man, Volume+ etc. None work. Rooted BTW.

Thanks.

so after jumping around and flashing ICS alphas, CM7, infected and some other stuff...i am back...problem was my phone was draining like crazy even after flashing my Nand of S&C 2.4.3....so, i redownloaded everything, waited 5 seconds to skip the ads (LOL), and reflashed 2.4.3, ICS v1.6, AND the speedmod 18 final!!

lets see how much juice i can get out of this 1900 anker!

Flashaholic right here loool.

Hi guys,
A n00b here. I want to use JKay Deluxe with this rom.
Since i can't find JKay Deluxe v13.2 which is what this rom is recommending me to use and i can only see a link to JKay Deluxe v13.3.8

Does this mean i have to flash the firmware on my phone again to KK5?
Sorry i am a bit new to this flashing stuff :D

Apparently you are right, there is some mess on jkay thread at the moment. As I understood new deluxe app will be included in themes only, but when I look through downloads I couldn't find any kk2 themes. :-$

This is confusing me. That fact that i am a n00b is not helping either.
The first post in this thread points to JKay's thread to download JKay Deluxe with this rom.
According to JKay's thread JKay Deluxe is supported on KK5. There are no other links in that thread to support any KK2 ROM.

The way i see it at the moment there is no way to get JKay Deluxe with this rom as it stands. Unless someone here can post a link to JKay Deluxe 13.2?

I have asked jkay in his thread, but he replied that this is wrong thread (???) will try to ask him again in case we didn't understand each other.

Looks like kk2 is abandoned by jkay... Maybe we need new version of rom then?

Just install the ics domination theme and you will get the newest jkay. That's what I did and it works fine on this rom with a few mods and tweaks. I always delete a few files from it to make sure it plays nice with my touchwiz.

    Battery Life SGS2

    Hey all,

Like many other people here, since i have got the SGS2 i was obsessed with increasing the battery life or the best combination of modem, kernel and rom for good battery life. yesterday i decided that once and for all i shall close this issue and finalize on some setting so i can leave this battery thing behind. First i decided to check the modem which is giving the best 3g/H/H+ speeds. I tested KG5, KI1, KI3 and KI4. Speed test app was used for this and for each modem 10 tests were conducted. In all the modems i was getting H+ with all the signal bars. The signal strength for all the modems was also similar ranging from 77 to 79 dbm and 17 to 19 asu. The tests for all the modems were conducted by keeping the phone in the same position. At no time during the tests was the phone moved. I know that the network behaves differently at different times but over a range of 10 tests for each modem i got fairly consistent results. KG5 gave the worst speed. KI4, KI3 and KI1 gave more or less similar speeds but one thing i observed was that in KI4 and KI3 there were data hangups and network problems which was not observed in KI1. So i finally decided that KI1 is the modem for me as there were no network problems and the speed was also amongst the best of the 4. My logic here is that in the situation of a network problem more battery would be consumed as the phone would continuously try to get connected to the network thus consuming more battery. Also i had read somewhere that KI1 is the best modem for battery life. So KI1 was the winner here for me.
Next came the kernel test. As per me, the daily usage is a very poor indicator of the kernel performance as every single day our usage pattern is different. In my case, voice calls is the biggest battery drain as my voice calls range from 1.5 to 2.5 hours and thus i cannot judge the performance of a kernel in regards to battery based on my daily usage. Also i am a bit impatient by nature and testing over a period of days is not my cup of tea. So i decided that i would use the app Fast Discharge for testing the effect of different kernels on battery life. Flashing a kernel, i enabled fast discharge with all the options checked except vibration and continued like this for 5% of the battery life and in noted the time consumed for finishing this 5% battery life. This was repeated with all the kernels tested. I tested Siyakernel 2.2 beta 9, Speedmod K16, Speedmod K18t1, Speedmod K18t2 and speedmodK18t3. Out of these i found that Speedmod K18T3 was giving me the max time for consumption of 5% battery. So i decided to use it. Regarding ROM, Clean and Simple by MrPhilo has been my favorite for some time and i use that only. All these tests were done using Clean and Simple 1.3.
Hope this helps somebody and maybe someone can conduct there own tests and share the results.

ROM works great. But it lacks some touch sensitivity issue. Moreover it isnt working with Kies. I can see gret improvement in battery life.

Hey mate, I completely removed everything relating to Kies in the ROM.
But i'll upload a file so you can flash it through CWM and have Kies back soon! Hmm about the touch sensitive issue, this is related the kernel, or you could download the touchscreen app which should make it more sensitive for you!
(Theres two app, you can use both if one doesn't seem to work)

Andd lastly! Good to see battery improvement for you! :D

The battery life looks amazing! R u using stock battery and how long was the display on?

Stock battery? If you mean icon no, im using a accurate battery mod, you can just see it has numbers of how many battery you have left (in %). Also the screen was on for about 5 - 6 hours non stop browsing, gaming and youtubing and still 35% left. It shows it on the screenshot 'Screen on'.
