I have asked Lysergic Acid to help me. He says he would find the fixes he made for the CM.
As far as a custom kernel is concerned, I am currently using Linaro toolchain for the ROM which speeds up the system pretty much. Our first aim is to get a fully working SlimLP ROM, and then we can decide to use SaberMOD or Linaro.

Concerning SaberMod on our S2 you can also get in contact with @fusionjack
He was a great developer for SlimKat on our S2 with SaberMod but he has switched to Oneplus One for which he builds now (look here: http://xdaforums.com/oneplus-one/development/rom-slimsaber-bacon-t2858033).
Concerning the GApps I would recommend the GApps from Team SlimROM of @dankoman and not PA GApps

Thanks. I would definitely contact fusionjack when I plan to build the ROM using SaberMOD toolchain. Currently, my plans are to fix all the bugs and to provide a smooth experience. When we get a fully stable and a working build, I would build using SaberMOD.

The SlimRoms team has recently added the RRO layers option in their latest alpha build. They say THE REAL DARK SLIM is a feature which is in progress. Soon we would see that on SlimLP.

HOW TO INSTALL:
1. Download the ROM and the GApps and place them on your SD Card/Internal Storage.
2. Reboot phone to recovery.
3. Wipe data, cache(factory reset), dalvik/art cache and system.
4. Flash the ROM and the GApps.
5. Flash SuperSU_*version*.zip to gain root access.
6. Reboot System. (First boot takes 5-6 minutes. Be patient.)

After a long time and some really hectic days for me, I am finally releasing an update for our beloved SlimLP. Considering the changes made in such a long time, I may not be able to post the entire changelog, mentioning each and every thing. So, here is the concise form of "WHAT'S NEW". This build is definitely going to be more performance booster than the previous one, as not only the kernel, but the entire system has been built with the O3-Flag.
