How to factory repit on cm12? It is possible to do factory repit on custom rom?I narrowed down the problems with my phone (screen of death, unresponsive phone) to a bad repit. Because it works perfectly after i went back to a stock 4.0.x ROM - and a factory default PIT.
To verify my hypothesis, i also tried the march 2016 flash (offered here some time ago). And to my bewilderment, it started to crash in a same way as the 201611xx version. After that, i repitted the internal flash to standard parameters (system=0.5G-data=2G-sdcard=max-preload=0.5).
Bought a non Exynos based smartphone with LineageOS support (LG G4), but will keep the old one for tests.
Unresponsive when sleep make it very annoying. I need to reboot everytime it dead. So there is a way to factory repit on cm12? If you have never used ODIN, please find a page with screenshots. Never touch any check boxes.
Got the 4.0.4 all-in-one package from
https://xdaforums.com/galaxy-s2/development/collections-official-firmwares-kernels-t2199288
You will have to pick one that is right for your country...
Note that 4.1.x kernels were never fixed by Samsung IMHO (unresponsive black screen / sleep of death in screen saver). So keep away from them and do not update.
I am using this rom for a few days. when I restart the phone it takes a lot of time to boot. after that I have to wait a few minutes because it hangs a lot at first. also opening an app that has not been opened before after reboot takes a lot of time to begin working smoothly. is this normal? or any way to improve this?
Hello,
I installed CM 12.1 on my old I9100g for a backup phone.
Daily, I never use it, he is just connected on the network.
I only installed few app. I have 10 or 15 times more apps on my S5.
But I lose lot of battery per period, the CPU is used. Please, see this :
Please, do you have any idea?
Thank you.

By flashing a custom rom, your warranty is void.
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards and so on. You are choosing to make these modifications.
I will not give support for modifications and apps you install/flash.
