We did some simple test with specint06 (self compiled binary, cannot distribute, don't ask me for it)
865 score is about 34, power draw is 2w
990 score is 31, power draw about 4w.

Conclusion is that Samsung really fkup up hard this year and exynos 990 is a total disaster.
RIP all exynos S20 Users(including myself)

To clarify this does not translate to 50% worse battery life.
In fact the real world difference will be much smaller than that. However this does guarantee a significant and noticable difference in battery life and sustained performance.
According to our anecdotal experience S20+ exynos (which I am using now) can do ~5hrs sot in one day and 865 s20+(my friend is using) can do ~7 hrs
And attach simple screenshot of result as proof.

I am waiting for Gary explains to make a proper comparison. But thanks for the effort.

By the way, did you make a test like This between the s10 or note 10 exynos and Snapdragon version?

I need to see how it compares to my previous devices on my daily routine, I normally have a good idea then.

Lazy two devices have been decent for battery.

Think it's subjective tbh but we'll see.

Sidenote, the exynos variants tend to get hammered with updates fixing all the things that were broken on launch over the first year.

Kind of like apple in that way

I've been doing this for the past one week and the battery endurance of S20+ is worse than S10+, Note 9 and similar to S9+ in my usage pattern.

One of the Exynos 990 core use old A76 architecture. While Snapdragon 865 use newer A77 architecture. possibility of the slow and bad power consumption?

Can confirm. I was using a sd s10+ before switching to exynos S20+
In light use like Twitter, chrome, WhatsApp, s10+ practically does not heat up. However s20+ will get warm in a few minutes.
The experience degradation is worrying I would say.

What makes Samsung think it can get away with this kind of shitty product?

A76 is not as good as A77 but not bad either.
It's the exynosM5 cores that are just bad.
