Anyone else having this issue? I'm really trying to like this phone but it's forcing me to go back to my pixel.

I've had this problem before on my Nvidia Shield. For me the problem was (after a shitload of research) was the fact that I had a 3rd party app store installed on my device. If you have a 3rd party app store installed uninstall it. You can also try to clear the cache and data from the PlayStore apk.

No 3rd party app store. I'll try clearing the cache.

You have play store updating on data and you have wifi on or you have play store updating on wifi only and wifi off.
