I recently purchased an original c pen made in korea from ebay and it is unresponsive and when in s memo for example , to draw a line it draws and in the middle of drawing it stops and then continues to draw again.
In messaging when i press on buttons most of the time keys are not pressed
But metal tip of c pen works pretty well unlike rubber tip.i have to press a bit hard to get it to workn
I dont see any problems in touch test in *#0*# test menu.

Any suggestions?

A) Take off your screen protector

B) Buy an original C-pen

C) Hope for the better ?

I use no protector
Pen is original with hologram from samsung
Can it be because of firmware or touch driver?

The S3 is simply not optimised for stylii input, unlike the Notes. JB and Project Butter will make response better though.

But line drawing stopping in the middle? That's just weird really. Try updating firmware. Personally I'm using an Adonnit Jot and besides ****ty slow drawing response, I have no issues.

The C in C-Pen stands for crap. I bought 2 of them and both of them don't work properly on the two GS3's in my house. I sent them back and got a refund. I can't believe they did any testing of these on a GS3. Samsung's quality control on their accessories is nonexistent. I haven't bothered with a stylus now as I don't like large tipped ones. My finger is the best pen money can't buy.

ICS supports stylus input natively.

Sure. But the S3 lacks the hardware to make full use of the APIs IINM. Plus the screen is simply not quick enough.

What I mean by JB making it better is that when butter makes sure that screen refresh is quick, drawing (with a stylus) should be too.

I've got one (Saumsung sticker) made in Korea, and it stinks.

I wonder if the ones made in Korea are inferior to those made in China.

(when I breath on the tip to warm it up it works a little better)
I figured since the human finger is a lot warmer than a stylus...

It's not becsuse you're warming up the nib. It's becsuse your warm breath is condensing on the colder nib. This increases it's conductivity.... which is everything on a capacitive touchscreen.
