How do you flash this .img file without adb? I've never used it before and wouldn't really like to start when flashing something as important as a recovery.

thanks to anyone who can help

No battery wipe any more?

I may be a release or two behind, or maybe just blind, but has battery wipe been removed from CWM Recovery 6.x? What version do I need to go back to in order to get battery wipe?

Thx.

Flash it manually via a terminal or Mobil Odin.
-su
-flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img

Noob question:

Can I just flash this over my existing CWM 5.5.0.4 in Mobile Odin?

I had a hard time getting 5.5.0.4 to stick, had to pull battery. Will this be an issue this time also?

Yes. Go ahead. If you have to pull battery, then you are doing it wrong. Make sure you follow directions

Follow this thread exactly like the steps tell you too.
The only difference is to use codeworkx .tar file in the original post

Thanks!

The reason I had to pull the battery was that I couldn't untick the "reboot device" button in Odin. So if I didn't pulled the battery it booted to stock recovery.

Will I have to flash the "Remove-boot-recovery-p.zip" every time I flash a new recovery? Or only the first time I overwrite stock recovery?

EDIT: I flashed it in Mobile Odin, and it actually had a reboot option to remove the script that flashes stock recovery on some devices if on stock rom.

EDIT 2: WOW! Backed up in four minutes..!

Thank you codeworkx for Your hard work... This device wouldn't be the same without your work...
Samsung made beautiful and technological product as s2 and s3 and lte variant, unfortunatelly they use the Touchwiz that isn't a proper operative system, i would define it unoperative system... Infact besides being horrible it also give you The Real Lags Experience full of Craps...
Cyanogenmod really improve the final user experience and also gives you cleansing, neatness and speed..

But Samsung with exynos 4 and probably also the exynos 5 doesnt provide any source help for developers... And Sony got it all to accomplish developers desires!

With a second hand Galaxy s i9000 that i recently bought i really saw the Cyanogenmod potential that for Samsung fault is unlukely unexpressable in their more advanced devices (and they also struggle in making them function 100%)

With that said, i can't stop thanking Cyanogenmod and You to make it possible. You make it for free, but the joy of being able to have AOSP experience on our device is non estimable!

Thank you!

Ps. Wont make the mistake again, had a s2, s3 and now s3 lte...
next device: Nexus!

New CWM 6.0.2.9 conflicts with the kernel, so you won't get into the system,
Brush the Perseus.alpha33.3 kernel again,
You can into the system and a return to normal.

Can anyone please provide me a flashable zip with the latest official CWM Touch Recovery for I9305? It's 6.0.3.1. In the CWM site, there is only a .img file, and I don't know how to work with that.

Thanks
