Announcement from mcgi5sr2: Building Omni and Slim 5.1.1
SlimLP Android 5.1.1 & Omni Android 5.1.1

AOSPSlimLP logoOmniRom logo

SlimRoms is a custom android operating system. The main goal is to offer users a slimmed down but still feature rich alternative to other android operating systems.
The entire SlimTeam work together to bring you this tailor-made beauty straight from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) source code.
All of the sources can be publicly viewed through GitHub and you can stop by the public Gerrit to submit patches of any type.

The builds are available when either you or I build them.

I have used this project to learn how to build ROMs, and how the Android OS works. I'm no genius like Archie, Dheeraj or Arter97 all of whom have helped me to do this by sticking to Open Source principles. The NamelessRom and Omni team helped me without judging me for lack of skills, which is both rare and awesome. Finally massive props to PRJosh (SlimTeam), Marco (Omni), and CBalster (Omni) and many others.

Both roms are based on AOSP.
If you have any issues with it, then either post a simple explanation of what the problem is, or more helpfully take a logcat. The more detail you give me the more likely I can solve the issue for you.

First boot is a long one, so give it a chance.

Finally all advice welcome, you find a good commit, or patch let me know.

To Install
Full Wipe
Clean Flash
(If updating dirty flashing should work now)

If you are migrating from a KK rom, restoring KK apps and data will result in mischeif.
Fresh install the lot
Or be it on your own head

News
Still updating L sources, however a lot of time is now dedicated to M.
Added Layers apk compiled by Slims Gmilz to to work correctly on SlimLP, so no more copying layers apks across! Link in FP

When reporting issues, please try and provide as much information as possible. I have one phone, which I need for work and my personal life. The benefit of this is that I work hard to ensure it works, the downside is that testing two roms is hard, in fact testing one thoroughly is difficult. So please please provide logcats, post what rom and version you are using, and what variant of the i9300 you are using.

Smoothest LP Rom for S3 till now.
Add an option to disable button backlight. I use virtual navbar.

Trying to change the DPI. Everything else is as great as possible.
