Guys,

Couple more questions.

Really enjoying the ROM and generally I like dark themes... so enjoying most of blackened...

However, two things I'm not keen on,

1. The AOSP keyboard. I really don't like it pitch black where I can't make the keys out. I like a little more contrast variation perosnally.
2. The pitch black play store is definately not my favourite.

Is it possible to change any of these two things individually? i.e. without flashing an entirely new theme?

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Can't change the colours on the AOSP keyboard unless you theme it, not really an option so download Kii and give that a whirl, i think it's losely based upon AOSP so you should find the transition easy, plus the prediction is spot on with letter removal.

As for the Play store, i think it's just a modded apk, afaik it's a system app so you'd need to install to system, grab the stock one and install it.

I thought the inverted one was ok

Theres also an inverted play store in the themes and apps section posted by raffa so you could try there to see if the original or a revert zip is there instead.

Yeah build quality was better but for me to go back to HTC it would have to be something really special

Hi im using foxhound v1.9 because since then all the updates have seemed alien to the rom. I installed this rom for the speed and stability hut it doesnt seem as smooth as before when going past version 1.9 ...I know I didnt like 2.0 or 2.3... dont know about in between.

main problems:
*boot animation jittery (which made me think the rom wasnt as refined)
*blue youtube (crashed as soon as I enabled that play while screen off feature) ...should have an option to have the stock youtube (with original redlogo)
*stock messaging fc and not being able to open it at all. (aosp was fine)

please go back and look at 1.9 especially and focus on refining and tuning what the rom has rather than adding more features and making it less stable

On version 2.2 everything is cool! On thing is playstore & gmail isnt blackedout! Message app works & youtube. Or you could delete your youtube from your system & then just reinstall the orig from playstore?

How do you mean add one more kernel? Siyah is always in with FH, along with a few others, but theres almost always a newer version available so downloading the newer version and flashing right after the rom is the best way to go about it.

Sure it is, but then the dev is going to have to go to the trouble of adding the most up to date kernels from every thread. Don't think i'd bother myself, i'd just pick the one i like which works best for me, recommend it to other people and then let them make their own minds up.

I guess he has his reasons.

So my Galaxy s3 all of a sudden started to have stutters, i have a custom rom Foxhound 2.3, and when i try any custom kernel it lags as hell. (Stock also gives stutters so its not kernel related i think)

For example perseus stutters my phone in app drawer and every time i open an application.

Syah 1.8.9. although its better, still have some stutters...

the only one that can have the phone more stable is the stock one. I dont really mind having the stock kernel its just that it makes the phone more stable but it still stutters when opening apps and in the app drawer.

Its weird because in applications i have no problems, and when im playing games is all good to.. even the more heavy intensive ones. Also my boot and shutdown animation stutter or jitters a little bit.. a thing that dint happened.

Also the benchmarks are good as always +/- 16000 on antutu, no changes... so i don't really understand whats happening...

Steps so far:

-Tested other custom roms including CM10.1 Nightly
-Tested various kernel.
-Flashed stock rom with odin

Every time with megawipe. always...

Clean up the memory that megawipe doesn't touch, perhaps titanium is also restoring a problem ? Try a clean install and install some apps fresh from the market as opposed to titanium.

I'm having a bit of a crap time with my phone at the moment myself, having to wipe both internal and external due to lack of memory error.

I did that... i tried a clean wipe a bunch of times already.. without any data restore... formatted both internal and external...

No i don't mean an advanced restore m8, i mean any apps that have been backed up and have been restored via titanium, if what you say is true and you've got nothing on your internal and external memory besides the rom and a kernel, your only installing apps from the play store and it's still lagging with nothing restored whatsoever then i have no idea, you've got me.

Could even be a hardware issue, unless someone else can think what it may be, i didn't think that your recovery could affect that part of the system, but change it anyway just incase.
