LiquidSmooth is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project.

We are dedicated to providing Android users with smooth, stable and fast Roms. We start with a fast, and lightweight modified AOSP base, and then add the features you crave!

Please feel free to look at and use our code on LiquidSmooth GitHub.

We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to AOKP and Xylon for parts of their code that we have incorporated.

A huge shoutout to codeworx and kejar31 for their work on the t0 platform!

Special thanks to our friends Imoseyon and Franco for their kernels as well!

While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash!

Downloads of our LiquidSmooth can be found on our goo.im page or in the goomanager app. You can find us by browsing to liquidsmooth or by searching for compatible roms for your device. Just about any Google Apps package for JB 2.1 should work, though we've provided a link below if needed. Suggested GApps are linked right in goomanager as well. Goomanager will now notify you of upcoming LiquidSmooth updates as well!

If downloading via the goo.im page, please be sure to know which device you are using prior to downloading. All files are listed according to the specific device code name. We cannot be responsible for what happens if the wrong files are flashed to your device! We recommend using the goomanager app and searching for a compatible rom if you are unsure.

Please verify that the device listed on the download links below is your device. Do not flash any files if the device does not match!!!

Your link is to the Galaxy Note 2. Having said that, very nice rom indeed. Probably worth mentioning whether or not the rom has the SDS and Exynos fixes built in. Thanks.

fixed the links.

this has the latest device tree, so it's going to have whatever fixes and issues are current with device trees in other AOSP roms like CM.

Rom has nothind to do with the SDS fix as we currently know. You must install a kernel with the fix and a recovery with the fix.

Is there a nfc fix for this Rom ?

The Rom comes with a Kernel, so it is valid question to ask. On the subject of Kernels, is the included Kernel optimised in anyway or is it simply the Kernel from CM?

yeah the rom comes with a built in kernel. if it doesnt come with it, i wouldnt have asked the question. so let us knw if the fix is implemented in the kernel which this rom has.

Isn't full linaro incompatible with exynos? I remember that's only possible to use the toolchain.

Lol absolutely incorrect. In fact linaro has a whole line of boarss they optimize named 'origenboard' that use the EXACT same smdk4412 chip used in ur i9300...meaning if anything the linaro optimizations will be felt to a GREATER extent on an exy phone than say...a qcom one...in theory.

This is maybe the smoothest Rom I have ever used! Thank you!
I have found two issues until now.
1) Nfc does not work
2) When i enable flash in camera and try to take a picture it force closes.

Right... I was considering he whole exynos world, but only exynos 4210 is compatible, meaning that the i9100 is out. tought that since the i9100 is incompatible the i9300 is too.

Hi there, loving the rom so far! Was wondering if usb audio is getting implemented or not. Specifically the ability to re-direct the sound to a usb DAC. It works perfectly on stock roms but I haven't found a single AOSP rom that works. If this gets added i can guarantee that you guys will get more fans, there's a HUGE thread over at Head-Fi, one of the biggest headphone/audio forums.

    Thread: http://www.head-fi.org/t/595071/android-phones-and-usb-dacs/1260#post_9015290

I'm a huge fan of USB audio (and keeping the # of conversions to a minimum) as well and have seen specific commits for it...I'll see if I can add a patch ;)

I read somewhere that linaro is not compatible with this device.

If this is true then how come this roms says it has it?

You read wrong. The origenboard IS A LINARO SUPPORTED BOARD. Meaning the linaro project does SPECIFIC work for the smdk4412 platform (the chip this phone runs on) We compile our CM kernel with a linaro 4.6 toolchain but the rest of the build (the other 99% of the files) are compiled with googles master branch linaro 4.7 toolchain in -O3, -O3 mode...which is the highest level of linaro gcc optimization that we can use at this time while still maintaining a "stable" system. We dont just throw the term around we put a lot of work into our linaro builds and were proud to make these compiles work...This smdk4412 chip that the i9300 uses can actually benefit more from linaro's patches than a lot of other platforms (like the MSM ones for example...)

Friend i m not new in android, i ve a device that as the first place in the antutu tests worldwide. I know what i m talking about. And for the friend with 20 k points I ve to say thats not dificult with a note 2 lte. The s3 you get clean about 16 k without tweaks. You can push the s3 a bit more with syah kernel and some other tweaks and overclock. But never so far.

Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium

Ive owned the i9300 relatively recently...run 4.2 on it and ran tests...Antutu's score isnt *that* much higher because of the added ram, especially when you factor in the fact that its a larger, higher res screen...running siyah kernel tweaked right i had no problem hitting 18-20 pretty consistently...

Can anyone please upload the rom to another link like dropbox or 4shared?

heres a mirror https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8g2S2lYqdYZY0d2c3lIckszWGs/edit let me know if that host works...if not ill do mediafire..

updated gaaps will survive but everything in your /system partition gets wiped by our updater script...

Is it really? I thought it was until 4.2.1 hit the AOSP.

All aosp Roms rely heavily on CM for device support at minimum. Our frameworks base and all other 'primary' repositories are pure AOSP base, no cm fork
