@winxuser and others who might be on Optus (or reseller like me.. Vaya)... Could you post your active Internet and MMS APNs and baseband/modem that are working?!

I'm having this problem (or something similar) on MM RR 5.7.x as well as Nougat Beanstalk 7.1. with various modems and have almost given up trying to fix it..

Any advice you can give would be appreciated..

Apart from collapsing the APN's (which didn't work).. I've tried different modems and tried switching between auth none and auth PAP as the Optus guides all show PAP.

Recent modems tried are XXUFOI1, XXUFPE2 and now back on XXUENA2 (which seems more stable).

Thanks

Don't give up, I might buy myself a optus prepaid SIM and see what we can do, it's only a couple of dollars

Please don't waste money on me/it.. there's every chance it might be a vaya issue and not optus.. there's about 10 optus APNs for various resellers. I just don't know

@erosco I did notice that if I changed on the default apn page my apn to Telstra w/portal instead of Telstra internet like the apn in the screenshot I could send mms on default settings but adaway stopped working so I didn't keep that configuration. Not sure if you have this option but if you do try that.

Edit: Thanks have been reset, thanked your post

Have so many choices (see attached list). Tried a few with little luck.. Happy to play around again.

I do notice that when I try and send (or receive) an MMS, my phone calls, sms and Internet all stop working.. I need to reboot to reset the modem/ril.

Edit: *sigh* actually managed to send one MMS by selecting the "Optus" (internet) APN for data.. then further MMS's all hung

Cheers

Maybe optus internet one? If you haven't already, just try them all (the ones in the first screenshot).

The Optus Internet one definitively seems to help; however my first MMS to another provider (Vodafone) hung.. I'll play around with it a little more..

Worst case it's a definite improvement!!

Thanks
