Had the same problem. Just dirty installed rom in the end and everything was working again.

Well... Stupid me followed a tutorial for this to get a few of the older animations working on the S5. Unfortunately, it seems, that the Disable zip doesn't allow my old boot animations to work again. Any ideas. The main reason I would like to revert back is because I don't believe that this supports shutdown animations? Right? Anyway.. Hoping to get back to the .qmg files if at all possible.

EDIT: Just read the end of the thread. So Anbech is MIA and no solution other than flashing another ROM. I'll stick with the old animations in the meantime, at least until I update to 5.0

CWM_CustomBootanimation_44_Enable.zip worked for my N7105 (Stock rooted, deodexed and deknoxed 4.4.2 ).

Hi !

I am using the lastest version of SlimRom 4.4.4.
I tried to flash the enable bootanim 44 ZIP and after that I tried several custom bootanim, but all I get is a black screen before boot.
Do you know if this the correct bootanim enable for this rom ?
Where comes the issue ?

I tried to fash te disable zip and flash the stock bootanim, but still black screen.
How can have custom bootanim ?

Hi! I created my own custom bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsunglogo with Samsung Theme designer, but not used an update.zip and not used the zip enabler. Just used Root Explorer and put both files in system/media and replaced the original files (i have backup of both original files) and did reboot to watch how look the bootanimation. Result: it work almost perfect, correct resolution and displaying but it shows TOO FAST! I created two files with Theme Designer with DURATION (FRAMERATE) value 5 and have same result, tried with value 20 and later 25 n' 30 n' 168 n' 200 and always shows that bootanimation TOO FAST! Device details: Galaxy S3 I9300 ROM Stock Unbranded (Argentina) 4.3 JB Stock Kernel ROOTED CWM NON-TOUCH TITANIUM BACKUP XPOSED FRAMEWORK BUSYBOX Firmware I9300XXUGND5. ¿What i must do to make my CBA run with desired framerate? Thanks in advance! And sorry for my bad english, hope you understand.

Hello my fellow S3 mates!

I’ve made this thread for one purpose: To have all, or almost all, information about bootanimations for stock Samsung ROMs in one thread.

I’m planning to make some bootanimations in the near future, both for ICS and JB. I haven’t made many lately though, because I’ve used almost all my spare time on the bootanimation for the Omega JB rom. I will make some animations now and then, and they will all be posted in this thread

This thread also contains my enable and disables cwm flashable zip-files, and a quick "How-To" guide for making them work.

And finally there are some things to notice before making your own bootanimations, which i of course also have written in this thread. So it’s easy for you to get started.

If you have any questions, need help, or just want to share your custom/homemade bootanimations, feel free to contact me. If it’s because you have a bootanimation to share, I prefer it sended to me as a pm, instead of posting in this thread, as I would like it as clean as possible. Then I can post it in the correct post in this thread, with credits of course. The bootanimation has to be made by you, otherwise it won’t be posted. If it’s made by another creator than you, and you just have modified it to work with S3, you have to get the permission from the original creator.

I’m thinking this would be ideal for a bootanimation collection thread, so it’s easy for other people to find animations, without the need to search through lots of different threads. But this can only be done with your help.

as my thread here is more technical based about the subject, and if you make your own, please contact me if you would like it posted in this thread.

I am using Samsung J727p running Oreo 8.1 root Magisk , Xposed framework . I found out how to convert boot animations to qmg with Samsung theme . I have cool Batman and Scorpion boot and shutdown animations .
