After weeks of use I can say its okay, some more annoyances:

* The Status bar UI size and fonts cannot be changed - They are really small. You can change DPI but that causes other "size" problems for all apps, would have been really great if you can tweak the status bar without installing xposed apps or installing a System UI overlay.

* Pemissions not sticking after a reboot which can be worked around

* Live wallpapers can be lost after a reboot so have to go back to stock launcher to set and then back to custom launcher (Nova in my case)

All the problems are related to MIUI and not the dev, just wish there are permanent workarounds :'(

Hi. Mobile access point works without password. I put in password mode and wrote a password but is doesnt matter. My notebook see like it without password and connect. Help pls.

Good afternoon, I have been with this wonderful rom for many months and everything is going great, but suddenly a problem has arisen, when I activate the wifi it connects me without problems to my wifi network hospot of my main smartphone but I do not have internet access, I have several days with this problem, I have installed several apps that supposedly correct the failure, I have also modified data in advanced wifi options but I do not give with the solution. Could someone help me please?

it's my problem too. It's a reason why i am dont flash this rom

    -format system, data, cach and dalvik
    -unmount system and data
    -install Miui8-jfltexx-release1-by-mikussj3.zip from external memory (sd card)
    -wipe cache, reboot

    When boot complete
    -time to time skip 'google play service stop'
    - skip language and setup your bootsettings
    - select theme 'high life' (deafult have bug- not display 2 icons)

    When bootsettings done
    - go to settings/installed apss/ google play services, permissions and tick all permissions
    - change language
    done.
    Go to second post and read tips.

    1. Change Region
    MIXplorer:
    Go to data/miui/cust/your region/cust.prop and copy all line to build.prop
    REBOOT

    2. install Xperia keyboard from attached files if you like it .

    4. MAGISK
    Download and install magiskmanager-v*.apk. open it and download latest Magisk-v*.zip
    Reboot to recovery and flash magisk_v*.zip

    5a. APPLY THEMES not from the MIUI store, thanks Tweakforce_LG

    A) download the .mtz file of the theme you want. Some good themes are from: https://xiaomininja.com/category/xiaomi/themes/
    B) install MIUI theme editor: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mixapplications.miuithemeeditor
    C) open the theme editor and open the .mtz file with it.
    Advance through the on screen steps. Don't change anything in the actual editing part. Just finish and it will ask if u want to install the theme. Click yes and it will be in the theme list ready to apply'

    5b Download paid theme (R4 and R5)
    - Go to system/build.prop and delete '_global' from 'ro.product.mod_device=jfltexx_global'
    - reboot
    - go to theme.apk and download what you want
    - recomended after aply theme: Go to system/build.prop and add '_global' to 'ro.product.mod_device=jfltexx'
    -reboot

    6. COMPAS
    The compass works when the gps fixes the position.
    If the gps does not fix the position, try this:
    Install google maps, open them and set your position. As you position, close the google maps and open the compass. should be OK.

    7. The screen is blury when the natural light is strong:
    When the screen become blurry at sun, open Settings then go to "Other settings(Stock Settings) / Live Display / Display Mode" And tick Deactivated (off)

    8. Set favorit MP3 like ringtons

    - Rename your mp3 to easy name (ex: bass.mp3)
    - copy mp3 to system/media/audio/ringtons (use mixplorer or another root files manager, set permisions 644)
    - reboot
    This make your mp3 like a system files. Now you can set mp3 like ringtons.
