SM - G901F Rooted at last ! CWM Recovery in English ! BUT Aroma not supported

Mine is from France (bouygues telecom) and it's G901FXXU1ANH6 too.
I didn't root it yet using http://androidxda.com/root-samsung-galaxy-s5-lte-sm-g901f

I tested this version and it does not work.

Only version matching I found is posted here http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=55667472&postcount=175

But it's in china language.

No, you're totally right.

Moreover, this china recovery is ok for backup, restore and all wipes (all tested).

OK for flash zip without aroma interface (2 aroma zip failed, on zip without aroma passed).

Waiting for cwm or other "proper" recovery.

No ROM for G901F for now, but it's a pretty new baby, so we have to wait.

Seen someone mention Germany and 901F.

Mine is from France (bouygues telecom) and it's G901FXXU1ANH6 too.

Firmware exists for france, germany, netherlands, romania, united kingdom, singapore and switzerland, I suppose G901F is coming or about to in all these countries..

I think I made a mistake waiting for this model. Lesson learned.

EE are rolling out the 901f as their stocks of the 900f run out.

I've got one coming this week but AFAIK it's identical to the 900f but with the addition of lte-a (which is irrelevant to the vast majority of the UK). The screen and SOC is the same as the 900f although I'd be happy to be wrong about that.

I'll post back when it gets here.

I got mine from EE, I'm loving the phone. Never used phone so great and responsive. Only thing rooting and custom rom.

Also don't have any problem with any 4G or anything. Phone is just simply amazing

It's great to hear that these devices are finally rolling out. However, as cloudx720 said it should have the improved CPU and GPU as well. Looking forward to hearing what you think of it.

Yep, I think you can flash new firmware by odin.
But if you're not root, don't have you OTA for the official update?

I read I don't remember where it's impossible to downgrade after but really really not sure.

Hi !

My G901f is now on Germany (Vodafone) 2014 September 4.4.4 G901FXXU1ANH6 G901FVFG1ANI1 . I tried using odin to flash but odin gives me a fail message despite.
it looks as if it does not work with the chain fire method and the firmware G901FXXU1ANH6

Edit: With chainfire file CF-Auto-Root-kccat6-kccat6xx-smg901f.tar.md5 my g901f is rooted now
But knox shows 0x1 will it means i get no OTA update `? Thx for help and sorry for my bad english
