Has anyone tried to change the background limit process in developers options to see if this helps to keep apps in memory better?
I tried this while out today just to see and it seems to be keeping things open better. I set it to the 4 at most and it seems to be doing much better at not closing browser windows at least.
I set it to 4, its still too aggressive in my opinion however its not making me reload tabs as I'm flipping back and forth between a few.
I'm speaking to samsung mobile UK on messenger at the minute and they are recommending using clear all in the smart manager app .
Problem is as soon as I do this the apps start straight away and RAM usage increases .
Don t worry guys very soon we will receive a New update from samsung 5.1.1 i have read that on Appy Geek app ...
Factory reset does nothing as soon as you have yours apps installed and updated and begin using the device the issue crops it's head again.Samsung UK reccomend a Backup and factory reset.
What exactly is the reason behind the high usage ? By my thinking Touchwiz or something on Samsungs side wants to keep the apps cached or running so the device is smooth and snappy, but Lollipop wants to keep them killed to save memory and battery.
So when one part kills the apps then the other restarts them and so this battle consumes RAM ???
I am assuming the issue you are all having is related to the issue in the link which Samsung admitted yesterday and said they will be releasing an update for?

I'd be very interested to know whether someone who has rooted and changed the minfree settings still experience the issues described here.
Also, did you receive any response from Samsung, Johan?
