Honestly i didnt see any difference between this oreo ICE rom and nougat ICE rom, other then nougat version is packed with features and is maybe even speedier and better battery...

lol ...just one little difference....its offering full oms support and so u can actually use the full potential of every substratum theme out there. fully working dark notifications is just one benefit of it.

I had dark notifications with nougat too...
But with oreo it is really more more simple

yeah either a limited variant using a samsung theme or...yeah, i totally forgot about the great included color tweaks on this rom. but now tw is just ahead with all the other big players on the market...at least related to its theme possibilitys.

nougat was already running really great tho, u are totally right on that.

Magisk is not recommended with Oreo for S8, not yet anyway. It will corrupt your data partition. Use supersu and suhide for now.

and a side question this is my first Samsung device and the op says it sets knox to 0x0 so by any chances Samsung pay would work ?

Bootloop after installing SuperSU

Hi and thanks for the great ROM !
Everything worked like a charm .... until: I realized I accidentally uninstalled SuperSU while keeping the pay-app. So I installed SuperSU again thru the Play app. Installed no problem, asked me to reboot which I did.
Now I'm in a bootloop. Did two soft resets (Power+Vol Dn) already, it automatically wants to boot and gets caught in bootloop again.
What to do, please help.
Edit: I'm on the road without access to my laptop for the next few hours.

Try flashing superSU and dm-verity, hope you are lucky enough.

i dont know if the supersu from play store is the Oreo variant?

Download the theme from here and follow instructions to set permanently (if you don't know how), after that download substratum and sungstratum, after that download aospui black or swift minimal and set Android system and system UI to have dark notifications with white text...

Thanks for your help. I actually managed to get from the bootloop into recovery by doing a soft reset and immediately pushing Bixby+VolUp + Power to get into recovery. There I just restored my last backup. Nothing beats a Nandroid when you need one!

As the title says it's for [G95XF/FD/N]. I believe the Verizon is a Snapdragon, so no, I don't believe it"s compatible!
