Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ among first phones to support band 71 LTE
https://www.androidpolice.com/2018/0...s-band-71-lte/

Should be in the hardware for the unlocked versions.

Currently, there are no network specific models (or unlocked models as a matter of fact). Info here: https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s9-8966.php

I think we will have the confirmation in the next couple of weeks.

According to this website the new Galaxy S9 will support the T-Mobile band and it looks like from what I've been reading all the Galaxy S9 support every band of every carrier.

According to this detailed list, only the T-Mobile version of the phone supports 600mhz.

I hope this is not the case, but this list suggests it is.

The unlocked US S9/+ supports bands 66 and 71.

Different sources are posting different specs. The listing on frequencycheck is much more vague for the model (SM-G965U does not specify which carrier/version [if different versions are different]).

Can we get this information directly from Samsung somehow?

It wasn't the only place I saw it. One site was showing the FCC filing with Band 71 on there. I'll have to dig up the link later as I'm heading out the door.

I'd like to know if the unlocked model supports it. Seems like it would but I want to be sure before I pre-order.

Here is some info I just received from Samsung support concerning the bands the s9 unlocked supports.

B1(2100), B2(1900), B3(1800), B4(AWS), B5(850), B7(2600), B8(900), B12(700), B13(700), B17(700), B18(800), B19(800), B20(800), B25(1900), B26(800), B28(700), B29(700), B30(2300), B66(AWS-3)
So it looks like no band 71 for T Mobile in the unlocked phone.

I asked Samsung support today, they confirmed that the unlocked SM-G965UZKAXAA will not have B71 support.

Granted, it's tier 1 support, but he did go over all the other bands.
