Installation

Before proceeding, be aware that tripping Knox has permanent implications. Such as the function of Samsung pay and Samsung pass, do your research on this subject first.

* You must have oem unlock switched on to flash this
Guide

a) In dev settings, activate oem unlock switch
b) boot into download mode, (vol up, vol dwn, bix button + plug in usb)
c) On the blue download screen, you will see further instruction to unlock bootloader, press and hold vol down to complete unlock.
d) Once completed, boot into system, go through setup, connect to a network and go into dev settings and check oem unlock is there. You will need to do this on every data waipe or you will be thrown into KG lockout.

* You must Format data and flash a encryption disabler before booting
* The TWRP tar package flashes magisk patched img's
* Knox will be tripped, samsung pay wont work, among other samsung things (possibly forever)

1. Unlock bootloader, backup data, boot to download mode ready to flash with odin
2. Untick the auto reboot function, Flash the TWRP .tar file using the AP tab in Odin
3. Once flashed, boot into TWRP, don't boot into system just yet
4. Here you will need to flash the encryption disabler, then FORMAT data.
5. Reboot system, (remember you have to hold volume down, and bix button briefly to boot rooted)
6. Make sure you connect to a network and check for the oem unlock button in dev settings before doing any rebooting. This just ensures that kg status has initiated and checked for bootloader unlock.

* Be aware, first clean boot, hangs on building cache, hard reboot after waiting about 3min and you'll boot past this

If anyone tries flashing this on the LTE device let me know if it works out fine, including booting into system and checking WiFi and everything works.

This is quoted from a Google search.

"It's almost always the fact that you didn't have Odin up and running with all the info in ahead of time before you plug the tablet into the USB port"

I'll check the tar file when I get home, but i doubt it's the file. I could be wrong but...

I can flash firmware and root my T865 with Odin without any problem.

Ok I'll check the tar file later. You can try since you are already rooted, pulling the recovery.IMG out if the tar, and using dd to flash it in an terminal emulator if you're Keen.

Or create another recovery.tar using 7zip to flash in Odin.

It may be checking the device number and denying it

Im uploading a different tar for you to try in Odin

Try this, it's recovery only, you will need to be pre rooted

Try this, you will need to be pre rooted, this tar doesn't include the boot.img or nulled vbmeta.img.

And I used a different tool to package the tar
