Thanks for the review - how does ceramic hold up against banging.

And would you mind posting the name of the watch face?

So far so good. I haven't given it a good solid whack yet though. I've only had it about a week to be honest but I rest that arm on the arm of my chair or my desk and know it's been dragged across things and hearing it makes me check every time. Think of it like a quality coffee mug. I've got a few that are 10 years old and still look almost new. I did intentionally drop it a few times before I put it on the watch just out of curiosity and it survived just fine.
I suppose a good test would have been to see if it held under an unprofessional resizing (by me) but thankfully, It fit right out the box. No sizing needed.

The watch face is by Broda. Outpost 2 it's called. I paid a cool crisp $1 for it. It's available on the Samsung app store

Hi there,
found this on Ali Express:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/22m...assic-Frontier-Quick-Release/32764866688.html

Seems rather cheap compared to the Apple strap so not sure of the overall quality, could just be that the Apple band is just overpriced though ;)

Anybody found a leather loop for the gear s3? Like the Apple watch's leather loop?

Similar to the one Xerxes found but with amazon link & review

Hi there,
this is my brand new Gear S3 Frontier with the original leather band from my "old" Moto 360 2nd gen smartwatch, looks fine to me ;)
And, btw, the watch face is my first "project" done with GearWatchDesigner, should be soon available for free with the name "project_01"

Just ordered today!

Will update pics once I receive watch and straps. I think it's gonna look nice though.

Anyone know if there are any black leather bands with these wider ends? I mean like the silicone bands for the frontier with 'shoulders' at each end?

Cheers.

Took the plunge and bought the Leatherman Tread Black (DLC) + Chronolinks 22mm Adapter + 22mm Spring Bars (1.8mm diameter)

REALLY happy and satisfied with the results! Glad I gave it a try.

Damn that is cool. That price though !!! Uffdah. How heavy is that setup? I would imagine sitting at desk and typing that would scratch up somethings?

Love this, just cant see spending 200 for that setup

It is a bit heavy, but you'll get used to it. I don't have one of those digital scales for grams/milligrams, so I can't give you the exact weight for the setup. Regarding scratching things up, yes it sure does, I take it off if I need to work in front of a desk for a long time. Other than that, it stays on my wrist.
