Ok so I installed the Android Pie beta file on my Verizon XI+, everything seems to be working fine except my service. Seems as though the Verizon bands are disabled, is there any way that I could install the radio from 8.1?

Thanks In Advance,

Thanks In Advance,

This could be why Blu blocked the update for Verizon phones.

Not saying that it is impossible to fix it, but to my knowledge your the first to find this problem, so no ready made fix as of yet.

Do you know where I can find a copy of 8.1 to try and go back to?

Use this file with spflash tool , it's stock 8.1

It should work without issue. But again , to my best information, you are first to mention updated to pie and then returning to Oreo.

Ok so still don't have 8.1 back on my phone, haven't been able to get sp flash to work. Keep getting a COM Failure error or something like that. Any pointers on getting this downgrade to work for someone who's never used SP Flash?

There is a few things that need to be done.

Drivers need installed. And usually they are unsigned drivers, so need to do steps to allow windows to install in insecure manner. (Skip driver signature)

Need to set up flash tool to use da file included on the firmware, not the default one.

Need to set flash tool to use auth file from in firmware package also.

Then the basics
1. Phone needs to be off for this process, and start with it disconnected
2. After loaded flash tool with da, auth, scatter (and files listed from scatter are shown)
3. Unselected check box from preloader
4. Press download, program is waiting for phone
5. Hold (on mine it was volume down) button on phone and plug in USB
Program should see device if drivers got installed.

Xda does not like competition, so cannot post links to there site, but they have good guide videos and write ups on this.

Search YouTube "hovatek sp flash tool"

You will find this video

I've requested XDA create a Forum specifically for the BLU VIVO XI Plus device. Let see if we can get some traction there.

I took a chance with this phone when I saw an open box at Best Buy for half price, and I must say, I am impressed. Great screen, very solid battery life and good performance on a clean, almost stock android 9 (beta). Coming from a Note 9 as a daily driver, I bought this phone as a backup and it really is a great phone. To the point that I have not gone back to my Note 9. I know eventually I will, mostly for the camera and water protection. But I have been using it for a week and not missed my Samsung one bit.
