When I checked my tab with antutu, it said that device may be rooted, though it was not rooted yet. That looks strange.

Here is a guide to root MTK devices. You will need 2 additional files:
1. patch_boot.img (made by zappa55, or you can make it yourself using Magisk Manager and stock firmware)
2. Scatter-loading file from the stock firmware.

Download these files and files from the guide page, install drivers on your pc and flash patch_boot.img using SP_FlashTool with the guide above. Everything is very easy to do.

Can we delete any files to make root-detected disappear?

Making sure your devices boot-loader to be locked:
Command:
ADB reboot bootloader
fastboot flashing lock

I'm sorry I do not quite understand. Do I have to do this step before deleting any file? Or I have to this step to make the root-detected disappear?

I found the source code for the mediatek 6797 cpu...
https://mega.nz/#F!Zc0UHbRD!fXuLH7YhqFo6MDCWqFFkIQ
https://github.com/MT6797?tab=repositories

if any dev wants to maybe take a look at it and see if the code runs properly on the 6797x

You said your devices does not root, but it is detected as rooted. So Just making sure that your devices boot-loader is locked. Some app checks your boot loader to see if it is locked ( not-root).
How to check if bootloader is unlocked or locked.

You may also check if the "OEM unlocking" switch in Developer options is off. Go to Options -> System -> About tablet -> tap 7 times on "Build number" -> go back to System -> Developer options -> "OEM unlocking" must be off.

I have rooted the device, thx for the info.
Now the boot is slow, before root it was very fast. Can anything be done to speed it up?
