You are right, there is no Aboot in the AP package.
Aboot is in the BL package.

Here is what I have for the FIRMWARE XEF-J610FNXXU1ASB3 :

Ashyx,
Just a mistake, on my phone the error is :
SW REV CHECK FAIL : (boot) Fused 3 > Binary 1

And here is what I have with Odin as FAIL:

The bootloader is being very picky.
The only 2 partitions you probably need to flash are system and user data.
I would suggest to pull these out with 7zip and repack.

If you update to pie you may get locked out completely as pie may not boot with the oreo combination boot image.

I would do it as a last resort.

If worse comes to worse you can always try the method below :

I have tried to get out : "System" and "User data" from the OREO Original Samsung Firmware (J610FNXXU1ARIO) and repack it with 7Zip.
But I have only pack it as -> . TAR
not with -> .TAR.MD5 (I don't know if it is needed)

Here is what I have :
https://ibb.co/ZNgYbwp
https://ibb.co/YXMXCM9
https://ibb.co/1qHLNjC

Odin seems to be stuck at file analysis . . .

I also have tried to unpack each img independently as .TAR and only system.img.tar have started to flash with Odin but it Fail. -> SW REV CHECK FAIL : (system) Fused 3 > Binary 1

With the others .img they are all stuck in Odin at step File Analysis.

Is the folder "meta-data" needed to be packed too ?

But as you have said you don't recommand to flash that firmware version . . .

It looks like you have no choice but to install the rev 3 Pie firmware.
However I would install the earliest rev 3 Pie firmware you can find.
Less chance of it being patched and the bypass above not working.

I have tried this : https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767155610

But the phone SM-J610FN is note detected, I think because the us debugging mode is not activated on the laste genuine Samsung Pie firmware
