Android is steadily growing and becoming the most popular OS on phones/tablets and with that growth, the risk of malware/viruses becomes more prevalent. There has been a debate about antiviruses on Android for some time and if you need them to protect you in 2019. In your honest opinion, do you believe that Android users should have an AV installed in 2019?

No, one don't need antivirus on Android. Only download well-known apps from Play (or your trusted store), and in the worst case, only install APK from official sources (e.g. official thread or GitHub releases).
Personally I never needed antivirus ever since I used Android.

Even if you think your device is infected by malware, antivirus might not be cleaning it up entirely and the safest bet is to factory reset the device. In this case antivirus isn't needed as well.
