Think I found the problem. Ran it again and failed again. It lists a lot of files then it goes black. I was doing the backup in the external sd (it is writeable as I had done and tested the platform.xml tweak). I switched to use internal storage and it worked! Note3 N9005

I just want to confirm what I think I know, but with this I can upgrade my Galaxy S 5 g900w8 from 4.2 (towel root so never tripped knox) to 5.0 using a stock g900w8 rom from samfirmware without tripping knox. Then wipe the phone to start from scratch without losing root.

My goal is to get to a stock g900w8 rom (important that it is as w8 rom), factory reset with nothing but root installed and no tripping of knox.

I am very familiar with mobile Odin and know my way around there well. Does this app function just like mobile Odin, to be able to flash stock kernels from say 5.0 back down to 4.4 to let me access safe strap?

Edit: or can this app allow me to flash Roms and zips like safe strap does? Thanks

Has anyone tested this on locked stock devices, i.e. Verizon and AT&T devices? I would test it on the SM-G900V, stock 5.0 rooted, but I am not at home right now, and I don't have a backup phone with me.

EDIT: Can confirm not working. Tried flashing a kernel, no changes made, phone booted fine. Flashed a ZIP file, had to reflash correct kernel to get it to work? Not sure why this worked.

FlashFire can't get root access on my devices (it never prompts to in the first place) using CM12. Nexus 4 and 7 (2013). Do I need SuperSu for it to work properly?

Did an ID back up on an SM-N900W8 (Canadian Note 3) running latest stock+rooted Telus lollipop (OC4) rom:
Back up to external SD - same as guiso98, started backup and then hung on black screen
Back up to internal - backup fully completed and device reboots.... success!

Successfully flashed a ROM on my I337 S4. However received a "unexpected content" error when attempting to flash an ota .zip on a completely stock system.
@Chainfire, does Flashfire modify any system files in order to run?
