You should add that the nexus 5 USB connection must be set to MTP mode for the driver installation to work. I changed it and it stopped the driver from installing properly.

agreed, im a noob how do I install this driver? its just opening folders how do i actually install it?

I did it but it is shown as a Nexus 4 ADB Interface. I suppose it's ok.

I am new to adb and fastboot(samsung user)...so I assume you are saying that I uninstall any previous drivers installed and I dont need to install the google android tools adb etc instead I install ur drivers and I am good to go..?

I had disabled MTP mode when I connected via USB. Now, I can't find the option to re-enable it. Where is it? I'm sure it's something extremely simple that I'm just overlooking...

Question
Hi!

Even though I followed instructions to the letter (had quite a hard time stopping windows from reinstalling MS MTP drivers constantly), Device Manager shows "Google Galaxy Nexus ADB Interface"... (screeshot - http://goo.gl/efY1zc) is this correct? I can see the device in "adb devices", not sure what else to check....

EDIT: this is in TWRP recovery... after booting it shows "Google Nexus ADB Interface" which I am guessing is correct
