20By request, I ported this project to the hammerhead. I don't own the device so let me know how it works.
Stripped down AOKP 4.4.2 base, trying to make it as lightweight as possible. ~ 160 Mb zip
The goal is to provide an efficeint, minimal groundwork for users to customize the way they like it.
Amazing battery life.
Base install has only ten apps in the drawer! (see Screenshots section above)

Minimal GAPPS
Current recommendation is Paranoid Android GAPPs package.
BaNKS minimal GAPPs started causing FCs and other issues, so until that's resolved try PA.
Installation Instructions
Make sure you are on the latest CWM Recovery!
1) Nandroid Backup
2) Wipe Data & Cache/Factory Reset (if you experience issues, it's probably due to a dirty flash over an old version)
3) Flash ROM
4) Flash GAPPS (optional)
5) Reboot
6) Enjoy!

Last Updated 2015-02-18111Loving the ROM, but I'm not sure if it's something to do with it, but I can't use the Google Now Launcher, the one that comes with stock Nexus 5 ROM. I can install it and everything but every time I try to open it, it says that I need an update to Google Search, which is the latest version possible. I've installed about 3-4 other ROMs to test this out and this is the only one I can't use it on.
