Installed, OpenGapps failed, now I'm stuck in a bootloop...
Using newest TWRP.

EDIT: apparently opengapps believes the lineageos is version 6 rather than version 7.1. I'll go back to stock since I need this phone as a daily driver, but I wonder if anyone else had the same problems.

1) In the first post it says: Requires Huawei's MM bootloader - have you been on that before switching to this Lineage OS firmware?

2) Try not using the "newest TWRP", but the one recommended to me (and others throughout the thread) by sigmarelax. Find it via this post: https://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=75673401&postcount=111 - it's the one that works although it is version 3.0.2-0 ...

BTW: Im using my GX8 as a daily driver and it's great! At least as long as you disable all the "start on bootup" and "run in background" options for most of the apps in the settings for the main memory. Otherwise battery drain will be high.

Ah, I'm using that version of the TWRP... Yeah I had been on that, unless I managed to wipe that somehow...

Hi everyone ,
I have an issue with brightness sensor ... Hardware works but the rom dosen't change the brightness automatically.
anyone have a solution ?

I installed this Rom and everything works fine, but it misses manything I prefer the original MM is there anyway to get back to original stock MM ?

Thanks for your work ! My phone is rio-al00, used with China Telecom"s sim card . I flashed the ROM update 02/27/2018, my phone is recongnise as Rio-L01, and there is no sim card found. Help me please .

    Introduction

    This is an UNOFFICIAL build of Lineage OS. I am building this after the previous LineageOS dev thread was locked. If you notice bugs, please report with logs and detailed steps (to show how you were able to reproduced the bug).     Installation instructions

    Recommended steps for clean install (note: you need to already be on Huawei's MM bootloader):
    * Perform a backup in recovery
    * Wipe data+system+cache
    * Install lineage-14.1-20180227-UNOFFICIAL-rio.zip
    * Install latest OpenGapps (arm64/7.1)
    * Wipe cache
    * Reboot (first boot may take a while)​

    I saw the dual sim questions, but cannot test it myself (anyone know why it could have regressed?). Make sure you have MM modem installed from here as that is the only cause I can think of

    Should be fine to flash the zip and reboot. If your data is critically important, make a backup before updating.

    edit: Dirty flash (ie without wiping data) worked fine for me. Just be aware first boot takes a while. After flashing it went from recovery into "Safe Mode" (no third party apps) for some reason, but that is easily fixed with a reboot.

    I put up a new build (12/11) on the original post of this thread. After building it I also attempted to add Substratum support to a second build. Please note: I may have failed miserably. It could be broken. If someone that wants Substratum wouldn't mind being a guinea pig and test it out, you can flash the "unofficialsub" build here, then report back if the theme engine works. Thanks

    To be clear- if you don't want to test out this beta Substratum build, download the new LineageOS build from the first post in this thread.
