Say "cheese", then rate this thread to express how photos taken with the Honor 10 come out. A higher rating indicates that photos offer rich color (without over-saturating), sharp detail (with all subjects in-focus), and appropriate exposure (with even lighting).

Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

AI is showing its presence when taking photos . It is helping in having sharp detail and exposure.

Photos are mostly nicely detailed but tend to be overexposed, oversaturated and oversharpened (despite AI mode being off) especially when it's sunny out. Details are lost due to over-exposure. Photos in low-light unfortunately do not perform well (images are not so sharp and most details are lost). But for quick snapshots this phone should be suffice.

I agree with that. Also I recomend to change screen profile from vivid to normal because photos are oversaturated and kind of ugly at phone. I first thought it was due to AI. Once I saw the photos in my sRGB calibrated monitor, they were actually nice. But still oversharpened. It was same with my Huawei P9.

By 'quick snapshots' I meant the quality is good enough for me as photos to share with friends/family or just to keep it for myself. Doesn't mean the quality is better.

Bad photo quality
Hello all,
I just bought a honor 10, but front camera pictures are rally blurry, they aren't sharpen at all... It looks like I'm made of plastic.
Does anyone have this problem?

Try putting beauty level to 0 and disabling bokeh. There's also another "beauty" mode in settings, disable that as well if it's on, this one should be off by default though. Or just try taking photos with the usual photo mode, not portrait mode which is automatically turned on when changing to front camera. I myself find most photos from front camera bad, especially lack of manual focus is frustrating and annoying.

Ai only oversaturates the colors IMHO.
