LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9 (pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

What's working :
  • Almost everything

Known issues :
  • You tell me
Be sure to include a log : check how to
  • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
  • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
  • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
  • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log

Instructions :
  • Download the latest build and GApps
  • Reboot to recovery
  • Flash the latest build and GApps
  • Reboot

Thank you for the rom Coldhans !

Just a question - I am currently running the LineageOS 15.1 Unofficial 8.1 rom on my Honor 5X.
Can I flash this LineageOS 16.0 Unofficial Pie BETA over my current rom (i.e. dirty flash) ?
Or do i need to do a full wipe of my phone first (i.e. clean install) ?

Thank you

I dirty flashed the ROM. Everything is normal, including my magisk modules. I used it for 5 hours straight. No major bugs. Camera is okay (by okay I mean it works as stated) and fingerprint has been registered every single time I tried. And the infamous ArrowOS Pie 'unresponsive phone with only reboot as way out' glitch hasn't occured yet. So it's great! The only problem that I have faced (and it's not a major one) is with status bar items. For example, network speed meter and Bluetooth icon isn't being shown (haven't tested all icons, there might be others that do not appear). Also, when I toggle any status bar icon options (I mean choosing which ones to be shown), apparently SIM1 AND SIM2 network icons (along with their connectivity sign) gets swapped permanently each time I toggle them. Mobile internet and WiFi is working too. Thanks for your work.

BT icon on Pie doesn't appear even it's on, it's google fault and not the release. you will see BT icon only if you use BT headphone or connect to your car.

I checked it with my bluetooth headset and bluetooth speaker and what you said is right. This was definitely my lack of knowledge. I should have checked it with them. Thanks for the information!
The internet speed meter problem can be solved with any third party app. And the SIM network icon problem can be solved with turning any odd number of status bar items off. In my case I just turned off ethernet. The ROM's pretty sweet.

Fingerprint won't work, regardless of how many times I restart. I'm now considering installing 15.1 and updating it to 16, just like I had to do with Arrow to get it working. Otherwise, great ROM.

Amazing to see Pie on this device Great job.

Made a (very) dirty flash from 14.1 et everything was ok just flashed again Gapps for Pie and Magisk 18.
I tried a clean install after internal full wipe but issues with fingerprints and camera which didn't load.

I will try again to take logs.

Thanks for the rom
