In that case I believe its the l04 you should work as it is designed for the European market.

I partially agree with you. But only partially.
L04 has almost the same config as L01/L11 - 1 SIM and 16 GB of memory. It also does not have NFC.
L02/L12 instead - is dual-sim, and L12 - has NFC. So to my mind L12 or L02 is better choise than L04.
The only 'plus' of L4 i can see now - LTE support for EU.

I agree with you, there are pros and cons to both but in my opinion the fact that the L04 has LTE support is the most important feature of those you listed. But then again, whatever may be the device which gets development, adjusting to other models is easier than building from scratch.

@codeworkx on some chinese forum build from some time ROM MIUI and IUNI with MIUI Patchrom. I downloaded the latest version of MIUI V5 5.1.15 for H60-L02 and extract the boot.img.

Usually MIUI works on stock kernel, but maybe can be useful to have more info on the kernel and ramdisk?

This is boot.img of H60-L02 MIUI rom:

The variant doesn't matter. They all share the same kernel.
So just minor userspace differences which shouldn't be a problem.
