Why the cool 3D scanner in the chinese version has became a dull avatar maker?

Why the Worldwide version (8 Pro) only have a childish Mii-like avatars generator? It makes no sense at all.

Is there any way to enable the original 3D scanner?

Not sure if you can install the camera plugin without screwing the actual plugin or the camera app itself, but the Fuse app works OK with this mobile, so you can have almost the same functionality but not integrated within the cam app and maybe not using the 2 lenses and the other enhancements to get the best result.

Anyway, I find riciculous that Huawei decided to change the 3D scanner with the stupid and useless avatar maker.

They already had it in the Honor V9, which is the chinese version of the Honor 8 Pro. But in the Global version they changed that feature with the useless and childish avatar maker. No sense.
