Sound is weak when microphone activated

When I activated the microphone for gaming purpose, the sound from the game became weak and barely heard? Is this common or just me having this problem?

Idk, but it has sense. Speaker can feed microphone and have an acoustic feedback. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_feedback

Using earphone or not i will be facing the same problem as well.
