OK, dusting this one off and asking what may be a silly question.
I just installed ev_tenderloin-7.1.2-nightly-2017.11.03 and then after installing a few apps, flashed SKZ-tenderloin-kernel-2017-12-01-1147
Do we still use this?

[ROM] Evervolv [AOSP Nougat 7.1.2] [3.4 kernel] [Final]
Working: Audio, Video ,Bluetooth, WiFi, Camera(inverted), Low standby battery drain (-2mA to -15mA) .
Not Working:

Note: To fix the inverted camera install the Open Carmera app here
Note: Auto update your rom from Setting/about tablet/ Evervolv updates
Note: To enable super user Download and flash this SuperSU zip here.
-You will need to reflash this zip each time you update your rom.

[KERNEL]SKZ Overclock Kernel for Evervolv [1836KHz CPU/320MHz GPU]
Install notes:
-Install the SKZ-Kernel by flashing this zip file here through TWRP recovery
-Remove the Kernel by flashing a Evervolv ROM with TWRP recovery
-Enable Root permissions by flashing this Supersu v2.82 zip here with TWRP recovery
-You will need to update the Superuser binaries once your system boots.
-Install the Kernel Adiutor app to Overclock your CPU here

Recommended settings:
Note: These settings should fix the lag and improve performance.
CPU
Set on boot = on
CPU Maximum Frequency = 1782MHz
CPU Minimum Frequency = 648MHz
CPU Governor = smartmax or dancedance
Schedule workqueues on awake CPUs to save power = enabled

IntelliPlug is enabled

Profile = Eco Performance

GPU
Apply on boot = on
GPU 2D Maximum Frequency = 266MHz
GPU 3D Maximum Frequency = 320MHz

Thanks! I knew that you had a go-by, but I could not manage to find it last night.
First run at installing SKZ failed, re-copied the file from the desktop and the 2nd attempt went fine.
I did forget to re-flash SU...
Set it up at my desk last evening then moved it into the bedroom for use.
Casting YouTube to the Roku worked, then I switched to just the tablet and went to use headphones, and I had no sound.
Then I lost touch screen, had to hard reset. Then still no sound, gave up and grab the one with Good Ol' 4.4.4 for the night.
And, the most frustrating, it's now super sensitive on touch. Getting double and triple repeats... Can't type anything...

Brought it out to the desk this morning and wal-lah, it has sound. Go figure...
double and triple hits are still a problem.

Went into the Adiutor app, >CPU Hotplug. (PiTA with the multiple taps, let me tell you...)
I did not see a setting to disable Hotplug so I ...
Turned off 'Touch Boost'
and it improved measurably, but still registered an occasional double-tap while typing.
Scrolling through YouTube listings is also much improved, couldn't use it last night.


Gov is on Smartmax, haven't tried anything else - yet... (wish to hell I understood this more thoroughly...)

I've got the CPU set to 1728MHz, 1782MHz seems to cause freezing on this tablet that is made up out of two busted up units.

*** EDIT *** 08-14 Friday Night
Had been going well for 24hrs or so.
Then Touch quit registering Friday night while watching Youtube videos on headphones. Kept having to turn the screen On/Off.
And then the sound quit working. Tried a couple of reboots.
Dropped the CPU down to 1500 but that didn't help either.
Brought it out to the desk this morning, rebooted twice, still no-go, reflashed SU again, then I had sound again.

Are there any working download links for the most recent/stable version to use with 7.1.2?

Edit: OK I see, looks like I was one day late to wipe the dust off my TP.

    Here's a custom kernel for you all to try out. It should work with the Evervolv nightlies. Not tested with other ROM's.

    NOTICE: This kernel can be overclocked over the standard Touchpad voltage regulator settings. It may or may not be stable for your particular Touchpad.     This kernel must be flashed from recovery (DO NOT USE TP TOOLKIT!) No need to clear caches, format system, or any other preparation. Flash and boot. If you don't like it, recover by reflashing your base EV ROM.

    NOTE!: The kernel has stability up to 1836 KHz, so if you decide to try the higher frequencies or change the cpu voltages, be sure and UNSET THE 'APPLY AT BOOT' option in your kernel tuner app. If your tablet can't handle the higher frequencies or voltages, it will either freeze or reboot. If it freezes, you will have to do a hard boot (hold power and HOME key simultaneously until it reboots). It should revert back to the default frequency of 1512 KHz max, 384 KHz min., but if it doesn't, Kernel Adiutor (KA) has a delay in setting the options. Get into KA as soon as you can after it reboots and set the CPU options to a stable setting.
