No I don't actually use this phone in 2020. It was good for about half a decade before it became unusable. I never fixed it because it was outdated and too much of a nuisance to disassemble. But it has some sentimental value to me so I'm thinking about fixing it now.

Here's how the phone slowly failed:
-The microphone (in the top half) suddenly stopped working
-Speakerphone still worked. I think it worked because it's another microphone in the body of the phone
-The notification LED stopped working
-The touchscreen would occasionally not respond until I flicked the keyboard a few times. After a while the entire touchscreen stopped working but the screen still works.
-I could sort of get around the broken touchscreen by using the trackpad which still works

All of the phone's problems are in the top half of the device. No drop/water damage. Is it just a dead ribbon cable?

I don't expect a response any time soon but if you're reading this, hey!
