Verizon is most definitely not GSM. It's CDMA like Sprint. If this is anything like the other N-based ROMs, it'll likely suffer from signal weirdness. At least mine all have. I mean it'll work, but might cut in and out and say no service even when you're connectedVerizon is GSM, as far as I know the M8 is a unified build and should work fine on any GSM network.
I've switched to Slim6 a few days before, and there the root option is available in the developer options... I'd assume the same applies to Slim7?Have not found myself an option to root. Don't know, if its meant that way, but i flashed SuperSu to get root.
Of course i had a look there tooI've switched to Slim6 a few days before, and there the root option is available in the developer options... I'd assume the same applies to Slim7?
I tried replacing zImage and dt files in kernel also various files in ramdisk but at best it gets stuck on bootanimation! I got Slim6 up and running successfully only by porting the boot image from stock rom but it didn't work with Slim7.
Thanks
Guys (and Gals)
I've not forgotten about you all, I've been silly busy in RL and the time I have had to spend on Slim it's had to be behind the scenes stuff, sysadmin etc.
At the moment m7/m8/m9 + everything else is proving too much to give the attention it all deserves. Maybe somebody wants to step in and give me a hand/or even take over maintaining one of them.
Whilst we haven't opened registration up to everyone you can see what's currently going on ROM wise at https://bugs.slimroms.org/ and on https://review.slimroms.org/
Finally, just because I haven't replied to posts doesn't mean I haven't read them
Thanks,
Nick.
