are you going to be updating this rom to 8.0 down the road? something i just kinda wondering and the rom runs smooth on my cricket idol 3

Once device, vendor and Kernel trees are updated for 8.0 then yes, Idol3 will receive AOKP O.

The device is 6045K variant: dual sim without micro SD support. Currently it is running stock Lollipop.


It would be very nice if you could give me a few more details toward installing THIS LineageOS Rom.

1. Depending on where you are, First off before anything BACKUP YOUR MODEM. YOU WILL SCREW YOURSELF OVER IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT BACKED UP. (DallasCZ or someone else may have a thread about it; follow there to get it backed up.) Back to what I was saying, Backup your system and every partition. Depending on where you are, You may have to either try Googly or DarkOr. (Preferred DarkOr, 100% stable-ish), Flash your Modem and let it sit. If it boots, Congrats, you are now able to make it to the next step.

2. Download the latest build of this ROM. You can use the ExtremeCorn Kernel if you are all about performance (it's basically Extreme Kernel by Alek Dev..) I don't know if it's recommended, But flash the backed up modem once more to just make sure everything sits in well. If it boots, Congratulations, You've made it to nougat. If not, try another MM ROM and come back. Every MM ROM has its perks, so be careful.

"enable proximity sensor in call to turn off screen" not working,
also changed values under "Proximity speaker settings" not saved,they are reversed to its default value
when i open again "call setting".
I tried many Apps to get proximity sensor to work /turn off screen in call/,but only Proximity Smart Cover working for me,other Apps not detecting proximity sensor.
Any posibile solution to fix this?

Hi, on my 6045Y i have two problems:
1.
when wifi disonnected, then i havent data (but LTE shown). I must enable and disable airplane mode or restart phone.

2.
Media not scanned automaticly. I must installed some scanner and click it, when media chanhed (new photo or after sync)

BUT THIS IS BEST ROM for Idol3!!! Thank you!

Hello all,

Is there any hope for this project to continue? I am asking because I noticed that the latest build is from September last year. It would be nice to know one way or another.

I am now on Lineage OS (unofficial) which does feature recent builds and works pretty much just like this ROM (with the same few problems that are not show stoppers), but all things being equal I like AOKP just a bit more if only because it offers more customization and essentially saves me from running one more Xposed module (GravytyBox).

In any event, thank you guys for one of the best ROMs for this handset and essentially for keeping the handset alive and up to date.

My question is, do the double tap to wake/screen off option is working?
Using 6045k in india,
Os: project x
Lost the dual sim and 4g, have a stock lolipop modem backup and flashed it with project x, still no duel sim and 4g, dont know what to do.
And i never tried custom roms higher than marshmallow in this phone, so is there any chance to face any issues when flashing this rom?
Can i come directly to this rom?
Is there any way to get back 4g, i am not worried about duel sim.
