Pardon my ignorance... but what do you mean by full cleaning? The typical Cache, system, data, etc type of cleaning?

Also, after following the directions in the OP almost verbatim (don't quite understand what full cleaning is) the phone reboots back to TWRP every time.

MI 9T Pro user. Global edition

I did some searching thru the thread and found out that Full Cleaning=Format

My issue now is the status bar. When on the homescreen the status bar is all white with some icons visible. When I go to any app it sorta reverts to something manageable. Also the clock in the noti drawer is big. This is the same no matter if i activate dark mode or switch to any theme.

better of with MiuiMix. Highly recommended. The latest, they already have Miui 12.
