Warranty
I bought a new Lava Pixel V1....i tryied it to update marshmallow....
While updating through OTA it gave me some error. I am writing all words of the screen...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
Installing Update...
file_getprop: failed to stat "/oem/oem.prop" : Permission denied
E :error in @/cache/recovery/block.map
(Status 7)

Installation aborted.
OTA failed! Please power off the device to keep it in this state and file a bug report!
Please help. How can I fix it to be able to update through OTA.

I don't wanna lose my warrant.y....

Help me
I did all the steps as mentioned but when i flash the zip file an error " could not find ' META-INF\com\google\android\update-binary' in the zip file " occurs. there is no os in my phone now ,what should i do , i have redownloaded many times and repeated the procedure again and again every time the same error occurs.

You haven't done it correctly then. I've followed this procedure and I'm already up to the May security patch level. You only have to replace the updater-script file with the one provided, DO NOT mess with the update-binary
