When entry list of //TODO is too long, it's not worth to release... I think, that first useable build should be released when it's ready.
Yeah, I plan on releasing a beta build once I fix the camera, RIL, and wifi, but right now it's just too buggy, not even worth flashing at the moment

I'm not sure if something changed regarding speaker volume, but it is super quiet in YouTube. I tried the volume override in ex kernel and it doesn't seem to stick either.

The speaker is pretty much worthless in YouTube right now unless you are in a silent room :). Or I'm losing my hearing.

The speaker volume is fine for me on YouTube, not using any audio mods

Dolby Atmos with Volume Leveler on increase loudness. Average movie is more quiet than music. Also Dolby Atmos increase depth of sound in my opinion. Only one disadvantage is that every ROM flash/update etc have to flash again.

Also in programming settings it's worth to turn on "turning off independ loudness". On turned off screen i couldn't increase loudness before. With this setting, BT headphones change loud itself instead phone.

Hello guys. It's the first time i have a phone without sd card slot. So i used to save the rom and gapps files on the sd card; that way, when i performed the wipe data, cache and dalvik my files wouldn't be deleted. So, in this phone, where should i paste the room and gapps files in order not to be deleted when i perform the wipe data?

I currently do it to a USB flash drive via an adapter. I previously did it via WiFi to a PC using MiXplorer which was slower. Of course you could also just use a USB cable to a PC.

Edit - I thought you were referring to TWRP backups but I suppose the above would apply or you could simply put them on Dropbox or Google drive and then download them when needed.

Thank you for your answer but i think i didn't make myself clear. As far as i know, to make a clean flash, you must wipe data, cache and dalvik; so, by doing that, the whole information in the phone would be deleted including the ROM and GAPPS files right?... So, my big question is, Where should i put the files so they don't be deleted?

1. For a clean flash you need to wipe the system too
2. Wiping data via TWRP only removes the app data and doesn't touch your files and everything (it doesn't wipe /data/media) so you don't need to save it elsewhere unless if your store your ROM zip in /data for some reason

Do you have a link to the file to flash?

The icon for cdla is not a priority for me, if you want to know if it's plugged in look at the ear piece, you'll see an orange light if it's plugged in, at least you will with the leeco ones

Sent from my LEX727 using XDA Labs

Obviously the CDLA icon is not an "issue"! I use experimental bild since yesterday, and everything seems to be fine (I didn't have yet any phone app crash): I just underline that I installed the 19/09 build via OTA, and experimental build via TWRP.

It's just that, by "files", i meant ROM and GAPPS files. Only those two

By wiping /data, all apps and their data will be deleted but nothing in /data/media. For example I like to put ROM and gapps images into my Download directory which resides in the latter. So even if you wipe data, these files will still be there for flashing.

Side note, just as /data/media is not affected by wiping /data, it is also NOT included in a TWRP nandroid backup, even if you include /data in the backup. So backup your files there manually too.

(All of that is my limited understanding, please correct if it's wrong.)

This ROM is graceful! (Sorry I mistake adjective I though awful was positive?)
Just few question: what about bug reports? I found some.
1) during sleep the fingerprint sensor does not wake the phone nor unlock it.
Solution (I just tap the physical button then tap the scanner)
2) the clock application do not start, neither tapping on the time in status bar nor from the icon.
Solution (I installed a third part clock and set as default)
3) the camera app does not trigger the flash neither if forced.
Solutions (installed a third part camera app).

Any suggestion about those little bugs?

Not having any of those issues, you must have messed something up, your feedback is awful, have a nice day

    AICP
    Android Ice Cold Project

AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!

Until Lollipop, the Rom has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
With the rebrand of CM to LineageOS (LAOS) we are now actually LAOS based with some tweaks from AOSP.

If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or LAOS team, if it concerns their code base. This rom isn't LAOS supported, so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

    Code:
    #include <std_disclaimer.h>

    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Nougat. You don't need to install any Add-Ons, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.

It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.

    How to flash:

(Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)

Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device
    Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended)
Wipe system, Cache, data and ART/Dalvik cache
    Flash ROM Zipfile
Flash/Install GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work)
Flash/Install the root solution of choice (optional), I personnaly recommend magisk
    Reboot to system

The ROM has GApps persistance in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update)!

    Supported root solutions:

    Magisk v13.x

SuperSU - stable and beta available (Site by CCMT that took over the the marketing from chainfire)
SuperSU - direct download link for the latest SuperSU directly from the dev (chainfire)

Lineage SU-addon (check your needed version: 14.1 arm or arm64) -> the removal zip is available here too.

    KERNEL:
The kernel in this ROM follows Omni source with many additions/changes

    PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash using the buildin OTA app that needs TWRP recovery installed to work.
You can still use LAOS recovery and OTA app, but you will need to download the zip file and flash it manually from within your recovery. Zip gets saved in the "AICP_ota" folder on your internal storage.
Please be sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery.

And yes, we'll still have official Nougat releases for awhile

The new official build is up
    Changes,
    1. Everything from my last test build:
Updated gps from Omni (gets a lock much much faster now)

Added the mobile payments fix from Lineage

Fixed an selinux denial (they just keep popping up...)

All the features that were removed when we went rootless are back, and are in their own section in aicp extras

    This includes BlackScreen 2.4.5

    2. The root extras section of aicp extras was improved
    3. Switched to blu_active as the default cpu governor, this will make things much smoother

This is a work in progress guide to getting great battery life
Note: This guide is meant to be used on my kernel, there's several optimizations that I've left out of this guide because I enabled them by default in my kernel

    1. Underclock the big cores to 1900mhz
    2. Set the GPU governor to simple_ondemand
    3. Set the vibration strength to zero (or close to zero) in the misc section
    4. Set the default I/O scheduler to noop
    5. Go to developer options and turn off the logger buffer sizes (you will have to turn this back on in order to get a logcat for bug reports, and to pass safety net)

    6. Use greenify to enable aggressive doze and doze on the go, and use it to limit background apps

    7. If you underclock the big cores even more in kernel adiutor you'll get much better battery life, you'll also get much better battery life if you underclock the little cores to 1440MHz

    8. Turn off all animations in developer options
    9. In kernel adiutor set the low memory killer values to the aggressive setting
    10. Disable fsync (risky, you could lose data if the system crashes)

    11. Use the suspend actions in aicp extras and turn off the ota checker
    12. Use privacy guard, and the wakelock blocker in aicp extras/system extensions to block wakelocks

    13. In aicp extras/ various ****, enable sensors block per package

    14. Turn off WiFi before turning off the device, otherwise it will have issues going into deep sleep

    ==================================================================================================================================================================================================================

    5. Disable fsync (risky, you could lose data if the system crashes)
    6. Enable ksm, and use zram for more free ram, good for gaming
    7. Set the CPU governor to wheatley

Since we all love status updates: I have not forgotten Oreo, I'm currently trying to get the camera working, I know codeworkx and the x2 devs have it working but either they're leaving something out or their fix isn't working for me for some reason, so I'm trying to sort that out, I have many major improvements for the next Oreo build, just want to get the camera working first
