But as I remember this was posted way before LG G2 maintainer was banned from Lineage team, so who knows?

LineageOS original developer (n1kolaa) for g2 was banned from official LOS channels, but he is still updating the ROM unofficially (https://xdaforums.com/lg-g2/orig-development/rom-lineageos-14-1-unofficial-t3535119).

In my opinion, if valuable devs like him (the ROM is really smooth) and others mentioned in that thread (like PsychoGame and more) will keep being treated this way it will be very hard for a reliable and stable O rom for G2 to see the light.

Hello guys!

I have a L2 G2 - D802. I still have the Android 4.4.2 Jelly Bean.

I wanted to update it to the Android 8.0 Oreo version but it seems it still doesn't exist, right?

Do you guys think I should update it to Android 7.1. Nougat or wait a bit more for the Android 8.0 Oreo? How long should have I need to wait for the 8.0 Oreo?

So what do you guys think I should do to my Rooted L2 G2:

- get the ROM for Android 8.0 Oreo right now and update it

or

- get the ROM for Android 7.1.2 Nougat and update it and wait more months to get a reliable ROM version of the Android 8.0 Oreo

???

:confused::confused::confused:

Okay, so more than half a year after the release of Nougat, we still do not have a stable 7.x ROM for the G2 available, yet Google has already released developer previews for 8.x.

So, what are the chances that we're going to see 8.x on the G2?

Same question was asked when Android 7 launched, don't be so annoying. There is no reason why G2 can't handle Android 8, it depends on wether a developer cares enough about making one. And also there are many stable Nougat ROMs, which planet are you on mate?

Nougat roms work perfect without any custom kernel. No need any addition.
