I can't use LGUP to downgrade from v30N to v30B (or anything else) because it isn't working on Windows 10. Any suggestions, except reinstalling my PC? :)
Or should I wait until someone finds a good rooting solution for v30N?

LGUP worked fine for me a couple of days ago under Windows 10 version 1607. I successfully downgraded from V30n to V30c.

I used the LGUP files from here:
http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=64624353&postcount=3
and followed the instructions about installing the DLL first.

You need to have the USB drivers installed for the LG G3, and some plugging and unplugging - and waiting - may be needed so that the phone is properly connected to the PC, before LGUP will do anything.

I might add that having downgraded to V30c and re-rooted, I chickened out of the next steps for upgrading to a rooted V30n. I'm hoping that a few more people can confirm that the method described earlier in this thread really works reliably:

I get LGUP.exe Application error..

The application was unable to start correctly (0x000007b).

Have you tried uninstalling and then re-installing the DLL (LGUP_8974_DLL_Ver_0_5_CODEFIRE) and the EXE (LGUP_Install_Ver_1_14_3) ?

Do you get any unusual messages or warnings during these 2 installations?

BTW this error "The application was unable to start correctly (0x000007b)" is very common and there are many websites proposing more or less simple steps to resolve it, eg

did you lose all your data? it is possible to flash dirtly?
I flashed from V30n back to V30c without wiping anything, and I didn't lose any data. Everything continued to work normally except that I had to re-pair my Garmin Vivofit with the phone (this is Bluetooth).

Hi,

Does anyone here have problems with the G3's Wi-Fi? My phone connects to the network, and has good signal strentgh, but it can't load anything anywhere (Not in Chrome, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc). For it to work I have to reset my networks settings, but a few minutes or hours later the problem reoccurs. I've done a Factory Reset, and the problems persist. Anyone getting the same issues?

Another question: I've installed v30n via LG PC Suite, and today I connected my phone to the other tool LG has (LG Mobile Support Tool) and I've found out that I have a Recovery update to do. Anyone here has updated his stock recovery?

Thank you

Well Today Kingo Root released a new version of their app. (D855 V30n)

But i'm getting an error.
It would be great if someone tested it. (only with v30n)
