If Brazilian device, it most probably being an H442F model, not H440n.
And maybe for that, the LGUP error recognizing your device.

If so, follow this guide:

https://xdaforums.com/lg-spirit/how-to/guide-convert-h440ar-to-h440n-maybe-t3387044/post67044372

in order to previously "convert" to H440n.
Then, return here and continue with the LGUP thing.

sorry friend!

i´m portuguese from Portugal so the model is correct!
is the h440n

sorry for the missinformation

Sorry for the bad thread necro, but my girlfriend's H440N that constantly kept corrupting its IMEI can't be detected anymore. I found a way to use LGUP to detect it with some generic dll and then flashed a stock .kdz to get the IMEI and phone functions running back up. Now the phone shut off for some reason and keeps bootlooping and, while it enters download mode and my PC detects it on a COM port (COM4), LGUP just doesn't pick it up! I haven't changed anything on my PC. The only thing I did was to flash the unlocked bootloader aboot and use recovery to install the latest .zip-flashable (20b) ROM on the phone. Now the phone is h440n20b in the LGUP utility after COM4 but its model is unknown and NOTHING seems to get it right. Is this thing dead even with an active Download mode? I can't access recovery because the key combo was broken and just factory reset the phone. Can I access the bootloader and flash/boot a recovery from there? Or from download mode? I kinda need to save the data on the phone as well...

EDIT: Well, I got LGUP running. I had to go to the registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software and then go to LG Electronics and change ALL h440n names to h44020b. That's because that is the model LGUP "sees" after the COM port number. You still need a relevant ****.dll file with your SoC's number (in this case 8916 for Snapdragon 410 on h440n).

Hello, as some of you may already know, we can't flash MM kdz on our LG Spirit using LG Flash Tool, so we have to use LG UP, a method which is also used by LG G4c owners. I drew the idea from them, since G4c and Spirit are practically the same devices. I've modified a script from G4c, all credits go to @bender_007.

So here are the steps:
1. Make sure you have USB drivers installed.
2. Download and install LG UP: http://www.filedropper.com/g4 ---- First install LGUP_8994_DLL_Ver_0_0_3_23, then LGUP_Install_Ver_1_14_3.
3. Download the script that makes LG UP recognize our device as H440n(Courtesy of @bender_007, I only modified small parts of it). Link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/lbxdwloffi75qqg/AABfz5e9AIiSxipsnZQIiikGa?dl=0 (Download as zip)
4. Extract the zip and run h440n.bat
5. Connect your Spirit in MTP mode.
6. Run LG UP and wait for it to load.
7. Leave all settings as they are.
8. Under file path, browse to the kdz file you downloaded. NOTE: It won't show in the directory it is in, because the browse window sees only .tot files, so you have to manually type in the KDZ name in the text field and select it that way.
9. Click Start
10. Wait
11. ???
12. Profit! Enjoy your LG Spirit running Marshmallow!

Okay so I followed the steps like I should but I got a "Subsystem Crash! ; wcnss (subsys-restart: Resetting the SoC)"
like a blue sceen of death. What should I do now?
I used this KDZ https://downloads.lg-firmwares.com/get/792a6df2e03e929448bbfef7b14ef554/H440n20a_00_0511.kdz
from lg-firmwares site.
Can anyone help? I want to flash a 6.0.1 marshmallow ROM, but now I can't do anything. I do not know how to boot to download mode. I keep pressing the VOL buttons but I can't seem to do it.
Thanks.

To boot to download mode, press and hold the VOL UP button, and then plug in the usb cable (while connected to the computer). Hold like that until download mode comes up.

@Fobos531 hello good job . bro I can install MM on lg spirit 4g H440F

Wait until H440F kdz is released.

P.S.: I had to copy all files manually and manually Merge registry script. Probbably some Windows 10 BS with UAC and bat scripts lately.
Another BS, now from phone - MSC error on boot. But that temp root isn't availiable :/

Im stupid, what is MTP mode?

Regular mode what is enabled by Deafult on KitKat and newer ROM's. It is also known as Media Transfer Protocol and when you connect phone it should look something like this (screenshot from my PC with my current device connected because of copying nandroid backup to PC)

Antoher note: for LG Spirit it looks like Phone Icon, not Media Device.
