Personally I think its nice and minimal but was wanting something more badass like Cid was.

Too simple and generic if you ask me - it doesn't scream out "unique identity", and it is not a rememberable logo, like the Cid mascot.

If anything, I think they should try to go down the mascot route with the logo design.

Simple, clean, and professional, everything that the stupid-looking Cid was not. If you want to be taken seriously, you have to look the part. Time to leave "college kids hacking in a dorm room" behind.
