Possible development for Xiaomi Mi Mix ?

Currently own the Mi Mix. Great phone but I'm not the biggest fan of MIUI. Would like to see LineageOS run on this phone. I was wondering if the development for Mi Mix is/will be on the to-do list? I understand the chances are very slim since this phone is exclusively on sale in China atm. But a man can dream, can't he ?
